"We were so lucky to find this place. Driving home to California from Central Texas, searching for somewhere to eat in Amarillo, and we were loving it from the first taste of Shrimp Gumbo (which was so good my wife bought a bowl, to go). We ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese with fries, and added a side of Mac and Cheese. Our friends ordered the Shrimp Gumbo, and the Shrimp Étouffée. The Gumbo was delicious from bite one that was shared with everyone, seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. That first taste only created an excitement for our food to be brought to the table. The Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese is not a traditional Grilled Cheese, it was on a soft roll (I 'm not sure what kind), but my first bite was so good, the pork is so tender, I just wanted more of everything. The fries were perfect (with and without ketchup), well seasoned and crispy. The Shrimp Étouffée (yes I Googled the spelling), was given to our slowest eater, and it was so good he was the first to finish his meal, he said he loved every bite, and thought the one piece of shrimp she got to try was amazing. We didn 't get to speak to Chef Ron, but we did get to talk to his wife Tina, who was working the front, she was so nice, and her staff were very cute, and so helpful. If we lived in Amarillo we would be eating there all the time.Well done Chef Ron (and family), we will definitely make sure to stop by next time we are in town."
