"So, here 's the scoop on Woo Child – the dim sum and Sichuan wizardry down in downtown Austin. Now, I held off on this review because, let 's face it, Austin can sometimes prioritize looking cool over serving up killer food. But hold onto your chopsticks, because Woo Child is about to flip that script. This place doesn 't just serve dim sum; it throws a dim sum party in your mouth, and Sichuan cuisine here is like a flavor rollercoaster you never want to end. In a town where aesthetics often steal the show, Woo Child goes, Hold my hot sauce, and cranks up the taste to 11. After several trips, I can confidently say Woo Child isn 't just a restaurant; it 's a pleasure cruise for your taste buds. It 's like they took the food game, did a little dance, and set a whole new standard. So, if you 're tired of the same old foodie song and dance, Woo Child is the downtown maestro conducting a symphony of flavors that 'll make your taste buds sing."

We ate outside on the patio. Great experience. We enjoyed the Shanghai soup dumplings.

We had such a wonderful meal! Yoshi was our server and was nice and chill. The food was really good and the wine was perfect with the meal. View menu

Worth-it tier: B+. Visits:1. Good food, normal downtown prices. Fried rice was good. Had to get bar seats since the place was full. Will need to come again to give a more comprehensive rating.

First. Our bartender was fantastic. Wish we knew her name. Atmosphere very nice. In terms of food….most things were incredibly over spiced and over salty. Wontons. Gong bao chicken. Chili chicken. We ONLY ate them because we were starving.

Good food, I would categorize it as Americanized Chinese food in a good way. Not what I typically look for but the flavors were very good and beef and chicken was very tender. It was a good change between going beef brisket hopping in Austin. I can recommend it. Dim sum only in the evening btw. View menu

I visited this restaurant on Christmas and had a fantastic experience! Despite my family's demanding nature, Taylor provided excellent service. The food was outstanding, particularly the family-style option that allowed us to try a bit of everything. The service was top-notch, surpassing our expectations.

We had a great time during our visit to this restaurant. They were very accommodating when we had a last-minute change in the number of guests. The menu was extensive, so our waitress was able to give us some good recommendations. We ordered Dry Fried Local Green Beans, Salt and Pepper Squid, Seafood Bird's Nest, Shanghai Soup Dumplings, Chengdu Chilli Chicken, Singapore Noodles, Prawns (possibly Chengdu or honey pecan Gulf prawns), Thyme Me Up Virgin, and Vegan Ice Cream, all of which had a unique taste. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, and there is a self-parking lot across the street.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
