"This is truly one of the best Japanese restaurants in NYC. People often focus on sushi with Japanese food. Yakatori is easily one of the best treasures from Japan. Tori Shin is objectively the best in NYC. The select counter adds an interesting additional element to the meal. Highend fish, fried foods, and most importantly, King Crab. The special part about the crab was the fact that it was never frozen and not cooked before arriving at the restaurant this is unheard of. It was lightly grilled and served medium rare. The best crab I've ever had. Well done boys"

Best Yakitori Omakase experience in the state. Chicken was juicy and tender. Especially chicken oyster was amazing. Service was friendly and attentive. It was memorable.

This is an absolute gem of a place. The food quality is really excellent and the staff are super helpful and kind. If you sit at the kitchen bar, the chefs explain what each skewer of meat is. The grilled uni is excellent! Highly recommend splashing out andgetting the omakase (chefs choice) menu. View menu

I've been dining at Tori Shin for many years, this was my first time doing omakase since their move from the east side. The food was good, but it was an insanely overpriced experience. I've had plenty of great meals there for this was over None of the courses blew me away and most of the time I had smoke billowing into my face. Save your money sit elsewhere

Wow. What an amazing dinner! The food was fantastic, some of the best bites of chicken, I've ever had. We treated ourselves to the select counter and got served by the GM/VP Akihiro-san. Super knowledgeable and cared for every bite. They had A5 wagyu, iberico ham, and cod roe specials which were all amazing. Expensive but worth every penny and deserves it's Michelin star.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
