Ordered chicken fritters.....4 chicken strips for 16 bucks and change and thats an app.total rip off. That place changed after that fire. Quality is poor. The one thing that is still good is the wings...at least that stayed the same. Our waitress was way over worked and didn't get much support from the fella that seemed to be management. Price per person: $50–100

I was pleasantly surprised when I drove by The Olde Forge Tavern on my way home from work that there weren’t many cars in the parking lot so, I decided to turn around instead of rushing home to have dinner. I won’t consider ordering the Macaroni and Cheese next time, I still ate it though. The couple seated next to me looked like they enjoyed their nachos I was even impressed when it was served to them. I used to eat here frequently before the pandemic, and I had always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. However, my recent experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant was chaotic, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and the manager was extremely rude. It should definitely be avoided. Instead of seating guests in the many empty areas of the restaurant, they make people wait outside in the sweltering 90-degree heat just for a chance to sit in the waiting area. I waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone came out to explain what was going on. They couldn’t even estimate how long the wait would be. Based on the forlorn expressions of those waiting, it felt like I might wither away before getting...

However, they clearly have no understanding of German cuisine, and the execution was off. The presentation was sloppy; my knife was submerged in the sauce when I tried to serve my meal again. The sauce was placed in the center of a flat, thin piece of veal, which was quite large. It was made with a few mushrooms and had a creamy consistency, but I received only about an eighth of the sauce I expected. The red cabbage—served in vinegar—was not braided as it should be. When we settled the bill, I felt compelled to share my opinion with the waitress. Her response was dismissive, suggesting I should have said something earlier or asked how the food was. Very compelling experience at this restaurant and this review will be a tale of one of the best dining experiences I 've ever had and yet one of the poorer. The place was expectedly packed on a big ski weekend Saturday night, so when I showed up with my family, I was not surprised that there would be a wait. However, the system put in place to maintain some type of order for those people waiting was almost non-existent. There was no hostess to be found, and in her stead a rude and incomprehensible older man barking angrily at everyone and adding to the general confusion.
