"I should have left this review months ago. Heather and her staff catered my rehearsal dinner and my wedding reception. My rehearsal dinner was actually a rehearsal brunch. She opened her restaurant up just for us, so it was essentially a private party at the restaurant. She then catered our reception the following day. The service for both events was fantastic. It was very affordable, and I can’t recommend this business enough!"

On Friday, January 6th, we braved the impending snowstorm of 2017 and met up with friends at one of our favorite local restaurants. The food at 6th and Main... View menu

January 21 for the Chilean bass with brussel sprouts and with mushroom risotto was excellent … brussels not a bit overcooked and the same with the bass!!! and the seafood soup was incredible …a meal by itself!… and last but not least the blueberry brûlée was out of this world! Thank you for the delightful tasting food you prepared for me!?

eating was equal to most steakhouses restaurants, but it was decent. the service was pretty good. the tables are too close together, my wife and another customer had to hold back for the whole time. I didn't like to ask for help to find the bathroom because the doors are hidden behind dusty drapes that resemble a window curtain of 1940. I personally wouldn't come back, but I wouldn't stop them from trying the place.

"I’m on the fence with this one. Coffee was AMAZING and I received it super fast. Ladies behind the counter were nice and welcoming…one even asked how my coffee was after I received it as she was passing by. The gentleman behind the counter gives off a vibe of “I’m just here to make coffee, don’t talk to me.” The food…mmmmm…I won’t make that mistake again. I waited over 20 minutes because there is only ONE person handling food, but there were three people on the coffee side. I asked for it to be “dine-in” but received it in a to-go box (not a huge deal, but felt kind of silly sitting next to people eating on nice plates). I got a chicken chipotle wrap. It was to have jalapeños and mayo (or maybe chipotle mayo, I don’t remember). I picked it up and it was hot and I thought, oh this is gonna be gooooood. Wrong! First bite was refrigerator cold…dry (no mayo, just cold cheese chicken). I think there was a total of two jalapeño slices on the whole thing. And I found the mayo…a huge glob of it at the very end of the wrap. I ate a few bites of the 2nd half but I just couldn’t force myself to eat it. A lady who had ordered in front of me apparently had issues with her food because she went up there twice and came back with a new salad. My suggestion is stick with the coffee and don’t bother talking to the guy behind the counter. If you get food, stick to something cold and don’t be in a hurry."

"Tonight after graduation the family and I decided to go to Cagney’s Kitchen in Wilkesboro. This was only my 2nd time at this Cagney’s location but we frequent the locations in and around Winston often with no issues. Tonight was a different story. I realize the cost on most everything has went up. I’m not naive to the fact that things have changed since Covid and I would not consider myself a greedy person. I ordered a 2 item combo with popcorn shrimp and white fish. The pic below shows the serving size. Now let’s be honest..90% of the time when you order this same thing at any other restaurant…the shrimp would be falling off the plate. You can easily make 2-3 meals from this usual order. That’s what I expected for $16.95. I honestly thought it may have just been a mistake so I kindly asked our server if this was the normal and she informed me that she would speak with her manager. The manager Arjan sent her back to inform me that because it was a combination plate they only give half servings. In my mind it should then be half the price. The shrimp were cold and had a weird aftertaste. The fish was decent. The squash was also cold and tasted like old grease. I asked that Arjan come speak with me and I began to explain my issues and asked that my meal be discounted. His response was “well that’s just how it is”. I said well then have it your way.. a bad review will be coming. He was extremely rude. Made several comments such as “what gives you the right to ask for a discount” and “I don’t care about your review”. He then proceeded to walk away. Sooo…here ya go Arjan Dede. For those of you that frequent this establishment I would think twice, but if you insist I would recommend requesting Reina as your server. She’s absolutely awesome. I just hate she has to work under such inconsiderate and disrespectful management."
