"A Hidden Village Gem Berninis is a relatively small restaurant in the original village area of La Jolla, but whatever is lacking in size, it is more than in food, ambience and service. Good prepared Italian cuisine, cheap, good service The Bistro is a short block from the Conrad Performing Arts Center. This is an excellent choice when you visit a concert in La Jolla.

We ate here at our first night in La Jolla. Excellent friendly service. Between us we had salad, pizza and their dinner special pasta were all very good. The restaurant is well furnished and while it is not on the bay it is worth a visit. View menu

The special was great. I ordered the special of the day which was stuffed sole fish. It tasted very fresh and light. I had good service also. I was visiting from out of town and there are so many restaurants in La Jolla, I guess I lucked out and picked a good one.

We only heard about this place on a whim, but it turned out to be one of the best eating experiences I've had in a while. The staff were so friendly and the wait time for food was practically nothing, even with an almost full house. I'm definitely eating here again when I'm back in the area!!

Good food, interesting owner. While in La Jolla, we visited Bernini's because the owner was a family friend of our hosts. The food was overall very good. The shrimp diavola was FANTASTIC, and the seared ahi was quite good as well. Can't argue with a dessert of chocolate gelato either. We had a great experience at berninis during a busy Friday night. The place was packed but we got seated in a timely fashion. We started out with some ahi tataki and also tried out the chicken Milanese. The food was so delicious, we will definitely be coming back. Our server Dylan was super helpful, offering us recommendations and checking on us frequently. The atmosphere, service, and food here is top notch so I had to drop a review. Well done guys.

Absolutely love Bernini’s! A true neighborhood gem. You can come here casual or make it a date night, it is so nice to know you will enjoy yourself either way. I’ve tried everything on the menu at least twice lol, my in-laws live next door so we have had many a family meal (and drink! here. Their pepperoni pizza hits every time, and I love any and all of their pasta dishes. Lastly, the staff is so friendly they really make coming here an absolute pleasure. Thank you Bernini’s! We love you!
