"I've passed this restaurant many times and have only heard great things about it. I finally had dinner there this week and it was an extraordinary experience. They close at 9:30 on Tuesday. Since it was 8:45, I called and asked if they could still seat me as I was 7 minutes out. They were very warm and welcoming so I went. The ambience is quaint and traditional with real table cloths, perfect lighting and nice background music. When I walked in, a few of the tables were conversing in Italian. My server, Basa, was extremely helpful and very attentive. GREAT service. After she explained the specials and answered my questions, I decided to order the Linguini Tutto Mare for my entree. The pasta was cooked Al Dente, and the red sauce flavors were deliciously balanced with the seafood medley. The medley consisted of small and large shrimp, calamari rings and steak, mussels, clams and salmon. It too was all perfectly cooked and had the perfect texture. After dinner, I had the pleasure to talk with the restaurant's owner, Julian and had a great conversation about how authentic the restaurant and food were and to compliment him for having a great waitstaff and delicious food. I am definitely going to make this a regular on my monthly trips to the Bay Area. GREAT dining experience!!"

I had some good expectations based on previos reviews but was sorely disappointed: 1)The prices are elevated, atleast not two. 2)The waiters did not care to explain or even try to please. 3)The tomato sauce base of the lasagna was over-salty. 4)The shrimp salad was just a bunch of thawed shrimp on iceburg lettuce salad. 5)And most disturbing of all when I asked to have the half uneaten portion of my lasagna to go, it was only a slice that was clearly not my leftover! Find anywhere else to go!!!

A family style Italian restaurant with prices that reflect a much higher standard than what was delivered. I feel badly complaining as the waiter was very nice, took back our first pasta dish that was overcooked in a heavy red sauce that had no redeeming qualities. The replacement tortellini in a cream sauce with peas and pancetta was okay. Prices of both wine and food was double what it should have been. There were very few diners on a Thursday night and it felt old and tired. I don’t wish ill upon them however, I don’t know how this business will survive.
