"Sorry, not impressed. At all. Been meaning to try and finally did. Don’t have to wonder about it anymore. Weekend so ordered from the special menu. You have to order at the counter, pick a number and seat yourself. They bring you your meal. Kinda like Wendy’s but you have to pay a flat 15% tip. Had eggs Benedict. Really bland. No lemon with it. Want condiments, have to go to the condiment counter, yes like Wendy’s, except you have to pay a mandatory tip. 1 piece chicken meal $10; 2 piece, $20! Plus tip. Table was sticky as was the floor. There was food and grease on the wall near my table that hadn’t been cleaned. Poor stuffy air quality. Basically pretty bad in every way. What explains the other high ratings here? I really haven’t a clue other than maybe they know the owner, because this place was pathetic. I WONT be back!"

The day has come when I found a chicken spot on the west side of North America that does their chicken with the right amount of crisp and softness. It’s spot on…but of course it’s smack dab in the middle of Anchorage!

My best meal in Anchorage so far. It was perfect. Everyone in my family devored our food. Talked to the owner and she was pleasant and accommodating. Wish we had a Chicken Shack in Connecticut. Chicken and waffles was excellent.

The fried chicken at this restaurant is deliciously moist and tender. The fresh fried okra is also amazing, especially when paired with their spicy dipping sauce. Modern environment, indie/hipster music, and great lighting. Self-order machines, water, and condiments.I had their signature chicken shack and a side of honey mustard. The flavors were interesting and is a different take on fried chicken. The fries were delicious and the meal sits well in the stomach. I had an enjoyable experience. Would recommend!

Although the restaurant had potential, my experience was disappointing. It was empty on a Saturday evening, which was concerning. The fried chicken was cooked well, but lacked flavor and required additional seasoning. The macaroni salad was too heavy on mayo and didn't complement the chicken. The wooden booths were sticky and in need of cleaning. Overall, the restaurant has potential but needs improvement.

I got the full shack with side salad and shishito peppers and my mom got the waffle sandwich. We both loved our food the chicken was breaded nicely and juicy not dry at all and the peppers were cooked perfectly.Their sauces were also very good only thing I would say is I like my ranch a little less thick but it didnt matter cause it tasted so good and personally I don't love the idea of ordering on an iPad. But 10/10 on food View menu

First time going here. Wanted to check it out. Wasn't impressed. The portions were too small with what the cost was. Spent over $20 for this. Would have made sense if the food was really good. Mediocre at best. Barbecue sauce was watery. The spicy gochujang sauce was bland, not spicy at all, barely any taste. Cheese curds were ok, very oily at the bottom. The popcorn chicken I couldn't finish. I like crispy but this was almost crispy enough to break a tooth. After I finished eating I started to not feel well. Food didn't agree with my stomach.

I really enjoyed the look and feel of this place. The service was very friendly if slow. The waitress was the only service staff I saw. The food was hot, yet I had several issues. There was a lot of lettuce on the Deluxe Shack Chicken Sandwich, and the fries that came with it were mostly small broken pieces and over cooked. The chicken was cooked properly, but there was a strange seasoning in the breading, perhaps parmesan cheese? The macaroni salad was good, and the biscuit was the star of the trip. It was flat-out amazing. Overall, it was a swing and miss. Might try again in the future.
