"When I imagined a quesadilla, I was thinking of something nice and small that my mom would enjoy. But wow, this was huge! You could easily feed 2 adults or 3 kids without any trouble. The flavor was fantastic, and it came with sides as well. I ordered one of the "Platos Fuertes"—I can't remember the exact name, but it looked like beef skirt steak. It looked lovely and appealing, but when I unwrapped it, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the portion. I was really satisfied with the taste and the hints of heat. This will definitely be my second favorite Mexican restaurant to visit when I'm in the area. Highly recommended!"

Decorations are authentic, but does match the food. Very bland and no flavor. Not Mexican, not tex mex and not good at all. I would advise to just pass by. Oh yea, hot sauce wasn't bad.

The steak tacos were overly fatty and too tough to chew. The guacamole with sausages actually contained hot dogs, which was unappealing. Overall, it was not worth even half of the price. View menu

Really good food and amazing service. The tacos were some of the best I’ve had in Florida. Huge portions too. Will definitely be back anytime I’m in Brandon. The mariachi band really made our night as well.

Absolutely love this place, I come here multiple times a week at times because once I have their food I want it every day. Their carnitas tostadas are particularly delicious though all of the food I have had here has been great so far. They also have great drinks and desserts! View menu

Who doesn't love Mexican food?Whether you like America Mexican Food or authentic Mexican food, Chicken Taco Loco will not disappoint. The food is delicious portions are huge and the staff is fantastic. I've been there a dozen times, it's my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. Every time the staff has been stellar. I really hate to give it a good review because I don't want you to take my place on Friday night. If you come once you will be back. My son had the flan for dessert it was delicious and I don't even like flan.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and found the shrimp cocktail to be very thick and overly saucy. I didn't pick up any cucumber flavor in it at all. The refried beans, unfortunately, were a letdown—they were burnt and tasted terrible. Coming from a Mexican background, I expected better. The asada tacos weren’t served with Pico de Gallo, salsa verde, or anything similar. They did provide two small salsas, but neither had a good flavor; one had a chipotle taste, while the green one resembled more of an avocado salsa. The tacos were just okay, and although the enchiladas were edible, they weren’t our favorite.

"Wow! Living in the Midwest I don 't get seafood this fresh and Shells doesn 't disappoint! Our server Bailey, is friendly and personable. She showed true interest in us and helped us navigate the menu to pick the best dishes for us. I asked what she would order and she recommended: Fresh Mahi Mahi Felix topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and roasted red peppers in a lobster cream sauce. Served with seasoned rice over vegetable medley. (Pictured) I was not disappointed, I am still so full an hour after eating while writing this. Thank you Bailey, perfect choice! I think this should be called The Bailey Special My wife got the Baby Lobster Pasta, Succulent baby lobster tails tossed with linguine in lobster cream sauce. She was blown away and the sauce could be a soup! Our son ubered us so we could enjoy the bar, we started off with a Mojito (wife) (which the bartender didn 't know how to make but got it pretty close) I got the house margarita with a sugar rim, very good. We then switched gears to an Island Breeze (AMAZING! Light and refreshing like the name suggests and my drink the Rum Punch was true to its name too as it felt like I got punched in the face rum, not a bad thing! Atmosphere is light and approximately themed, everything looked and smelled clean. We don 't live here, but if we return we will be back! If you read this far please go visit, I 'm sure your experience will be as great as ours. Thank you to everyone at Shells who made our evening wonderful."
