"I've dined in numerous hotel restaurants, and Chisholm's stands out better than quite a few. I started with the French onion soup, which was decent but not exceptional. Then I ordered the Chisholm burger, and I must say, it was quite tasty. I chose to have a side salad instead of fries, but the server brought both. The fries were lacking in crispiness, so I skipped those. The salad was mostly kale, which I’m not fond of, so it didn’t appeal to me. The highlight of the meal was definitely the burger, which came highly recommended. The server was delightful and very engaging, and I truly appreciated her. If it weren't for her and the delicious burger, I would have rated the experience a 3, or maybe even a 2. There aren't many dining options near the airport, so I suggest playing it safe. Hopefully, you'll have the same lovely server I did!"

The staff is exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcomed.

Both of our dinners were really good. The service was excellent. I don’t come through Kansas very often, but I would definitely eat here again.

I ordered the Alfredo and added chicken. The chicken was fantastic, but the sauce was a little too dry for my liking. I'll definitely come back later tonight to see what other delicious options are available. View menu

Food was good. A little pricey but it is a restaurant in a hotel. Limited choices but it specializes in steaks. Restaurant was quiet but it was not very busy when we were there. Good choice for a nice, slightly upscale dinner.

I'm disappointed with my experience. By the time I got my food to the table, it wasn't warm. The stuffing was way too salty. The ambiance wasn't good. Would have been nicer if the lights were lower and there was some Christmas music in the background. I won't be back for a special holiday.

While we did have reservations, it didn’t seem to matter as the main restaurant was closed. We sat in the bar and it turned out to be a rather enjoyable evening. The food was average, the beer and wine selection was good and the service was very good. We did have breakfast the next morning in the main restaurant and the chef made me a very good omelette. I don’t generally write reviews but the service was poor enough I have elected to complete this. Only two tables were being served on a Friday evening at 7 so I would have thought the water glasses could be filled and a second round of drinks could be ordered without having to ask each time. I reluctantly left a nice tip hoping to be an incentive to do better next time.

I had heard wonderful things about this restaurant. We were excited to try it with some old friends. There was only 4 tables with diners when we arrived at 6:00. The service was adequate, the prices were high for what we got. All wine pours and cocktails were expensive $11-$14. Two of us got salads: one Cobb and one steak salad. They were ok but, not worth $10/$14 respectively. My husbands KC strip had a big piece of fat and gristle. Our friend had the salmon. He said it was good. They both said the mashed potatoes were not good. We will spend $120 somewhere else next time.

"As a Gluten free couple and myself being only a fish eater (no meat) there are very few quality restaurants my husband and I find that we can truly enjoy in the city of Wichita. Most places do have one or two choices for those with my dietary requirements, but often they seem like an afterthought. The Belmont is now added to our short list of regular places we plan to dine. We met Tory, the owner who sat us to our cozy booth, and immediately began to offer creative GF takes on several of their dishes. I was offered a decontructed bruchetta where the fillings were served on a lettuce plate and in place of some of the meat component was offered a side of nice smoked salmon for protein. I added the olive snack and was delighted with the red and green selection. My husband had the burger (hold the bun) and loved his meal. We splurged on sharing a dish of homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was fresh and tasty! My only suggestion would be to keep some rice or GF flour on hand in the kitchen to possibly offer some of the breaded or fried dishes as GF options. (Yes even with a shared fryer, there are many such as my husband and I who are not celiac who have found shared fryers make no difference) Fully 30% of the public considers themselves GF. It is so easy to get a box of quality GF pasta or sub out some GF or Rice flour to dredge for frying. I find Rice flour to make for a crisper dredge anyway! I truly wish more Wichita restaurants would attempt to provide more varied dishes for us GF restaurant goers. Wouldn't you like 30% of your client base to be thrilled to head your way for good GF dish options? Just offering starchy GF sandwich buns (not what the Belmont does) is not a creative answer."
