"This restaurant is an excellent choice for dinner! The fish and chips were delicious, but the standout dish was definitely the bread pudding! The whole place exudes a wonderful Irish pub vibe, and the bartender, MJ, was incredibly friendly, crafting some fantastic mixed drinks tailored to my preferences – they were superb! I also chatted with a few locals at the bar who adore this spot, which is always a reassuring sign for a regular tourist like me looking for consistently excellent dining experiences!"

The food is tasty, but there’s nothing distinctly Irish about this restaurant. Additionally, the service was really slow.

Everything was good except that the validation on the parking ticket did not work even though we were there for less than two hours. This is the second time this problem happened here.

I just love the ambience of this place. Seems like a locals spot. The food is good! I ordered a plain burger and came back with all kinds of stuff on it, and sent it back. They fixed the order, but not until the rest of my family was basically finished with their meals. It was fine. View menu

Fantastic Irish pub located in the heart of downtown Chicago. Enjoying a classic pint of Guinness alongside curry chips truly captures the essence of Dublin. The chicken pot pie is certainly the best I've ever tasted, and I highly recommend it. The server was incredibly friendly and attentive.

Casual dining with excellent food. The menu features classic Irish pub dishes, but they are prepared to a higher standard than anticipated. The portion sizes are ample. The ambiance is enjoyable. Service was good, though not outstanding. I will definitely return when the occasion calls for a great pub experience.

Found this place by chance, and I'm so glad I did! The shepherd's pie is delicious! Best I've had! They had a bar, high tops, booths, and a library type room with a fireplace. Perfect cozy place to grab some casual drinks or restaurant for a date night or Cafe during a cold day next to the fire. Honestly, would recommend for any occasion! View menu

Staff was very friendly. Both waitress and waiter (after shift change) came to our table several to check if we need anything. Also manager visited our table. We spent several hours in the restaurant without feeling pressure. Food was vey good as usual. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives in downtown Chicago and visits Chicago.

The burger and fries were fairly standard and plain for such a premium price. Nice atmosphere, but service was very slow. It took over an hour to be served after ordering. It wasn't terribly busy at that time, and there was no wait at the door. Maybe they're short handed? There are better Irish pubs within blocks of D4. Certainly better value for the price.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
