"We have gone to Danny’s for years, great food great service!! Haven’t been for awhile, and boy did they go downhill. Manager Teri is 100%, the rudest manager I have ever encountered. Went online to look at menu, it states cheese nuggets, got them , they were burnt, and super Spivey, no mention of spice on menu. Ordered a hamburger, got the beef, but also got chicken on it, which I don’t eat. Called restaurant, they took name and number said Teri would call, if not call Monday. Of course got no call, so we called Teri, who said it was our fault, and that we should have called that night! Our fault for them not saying Spivey cheese curds, our fault that they put chicken on my burger! The place has gone DOWNHILL and the people working there are awful!! Will never go back, which is a shame, we used to really love it there"

I went there February 4th I went there for the 10 oz Ribeye $15.99 I was charged $18.99 for the prime rib biggest cut. They didn't tell me where the Salad Bar was. They brought my food sit it down and walked off. They didn't even ask if there was anything else.

Will never go back to Danny’s again! I bet Danny is spinning in his grave knowing the type of product this place is producing now. Ordered 2 orders of their Lambeau wings on February 19,2022 because they use to be my son’s favorite. This is the garbage we got. Stay away View menu

Great small neighborhood bar feel. The waitress was very nice. Ordered the Ruben was delicious probably 2nd best in Omaha, sweet potato waffle fries, and chili.The Ruben was just the right amount.of messy with mounds of sour kraut.1000 island dressing and corned beef. The chili was a bit spicy.The carrot cake was delicious.Well definitely go back.

I ordered a double packer burger for myself, and my girlfriend chose a rodeo burger. However, I ended up with just a single packer, and my girlfriend received a plain hamburger patty with nothing on it, which was pretty funny! I would have mentioned it to the waitress, but she didn't come by. I recommend repeating your order twice to avoid any mix-ups.

Food was good, I ordered a sandwich and teasers I noticed that the teasers tasted different then before, that was disappointing. The service was slow concedering there were on two other tables there. The bartender/cook just looked at us from behind the bar while we waited to get severed, I would think he would try to locate our sever but didn't. My sandwich was good and my girlfriend enjoyed hers as well. View menu

The young waitress walked out on her job, after sitting at our table dirty table for 10 mins. Then took another half hr to get drinks and order food. Ordered a rib eye med. rare and it arrived raw. They decided to stick the same steak back on the grill and cook it well done. Had to send it back once again and got attitude from the manager. . Been sitting here for over an hr. and still have not took a bite of food yet. P.s. the managers daughter is the the young waitress that walk out on her job. Never Again!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I have been a loyal customer of Danny's for over 30 years, always recommending it to others, and it was my son's favorite place to eat. Recently, I went in for a burger and ordered the Husker burger, as I always do, only to receive patties that were charred to a black crisp. When I brought this to their attention, I was met with a dismissive response—no offer to remake my meal, just a $3 discount. This is unbelievable! I can only imagine how Danny is turning in his grave as his legacy is being ruined. I strongly advise against eating at this establishment ever again!

"It 's not often that a place hits 5 stars on everything but man....... from the start, walk up talk to the host , dude was nice and got us a table right away..... now I know some of you might think, yea whatever, you just got lucky and they weren 't busy . Not the case, host asked us if we were on a rush or if we could possibly finish in less then two hours. We are actually fast eaters and didn 't want to spend a lot of time there. The simple fact that they have a system in place for people like us sped up our seating (the table they had for us had a reservation two hours later). We get seated. From the start our server JAYLAN was courteous and helpful with the menu. We got our drinks. They were perfect and some of the best drinks I 've had in my life. I grew up in So Cal was into the bar scene hitting up all the good spots plus I 've been to a lot of places regions. Food. Jaylan recommended river rock beef. It was amazeballs. Perfectly seasoned, quality meat. Fast forward, we get all of our food. Everything was scrumptious and superb. Order more drinks all delicious. Service was amazingly fast considering how busy they were. We get the bill. I was prepared for a high one. NOPE!!! It was fair. You get what you pay for. Next time we 're in Omaha we will make it a point to go there."

"First, the restaurant is super cool. You enter and immediately see the open kitchen and bar below. We were seated with a great view of the working kitchen. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary bubbly and a menu that read Happy Anniversary at the top. Our server was prompt and kind. We ordered apps and our meal at the same time. Apps were a little slow but we don 't mind taking our time. The andouille sausage over grits was good but a bit oversalted. The croquettes were good but somewhat mushy. Overall flavor profile was good. Some time passed after completing our appys and began to notice the kitchen plating dishes and entrees being served to every table except ours. Again, not in a hurry so we weren 't upset. But it became excessive. Large groups seated while we had appetizers were served their entrees. Small tables seated after we finished our appetizers were served. The kitchen can put out food fast, just not ours. So now our apps are expanding in our belly and our excitement about our meals are diminishing. Finally our entrees arrived. My snapper raw. So sad. The gnocchi was ok but again, way over salted. But the flavor profile was so good. This had the ability to be amazing. My husband ordered the wagyu flank steak. It was just not good. He barely ate one piece and left his sides as again they were way way over salted. Our server noticed that we barely ate our meals and spent time asking for feedback. She was very kind and the manager discounted my meal (which I did not want, but appreciate). Anyway, we probably won 't be back. Good presentations. Very good flavor profiles. Failure to deliver overall though due to extremely salty, improper cooking and extraordinary wait times. Hopefully they can improve as some other recent reviews reflect similar feedback."

"We've had a gift card to J Gilberts forever and a day. Finally got the chance to use it. We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. Our server, Lorena was attentive and answered all our questions regarding cocktails and menu items. We decided to start with Calamari as an appetizer and that a great choice. By far the best calamari we have had. Dinner entrees were exceptional, my husband had the porkchop which was cooked to perfection. I had the rack of lamb which was not only delicious but also cooked perfectly. The only 2 things that were just not the best tasting with the rack of lamb were the spinach (too salty) and the mushroom risotto( very mushy and no flavor. The mushrooms should have been chopped). Can we talk dessert ... best carrot cake I've ever had. Our server, Lorena, made our dinning experience at J Gilberts very enjoyable. Best part of a good dinning experience is great service and Lorena did not disappoint."

Had ordered cocktails, apps and had our food for maybe 5 minutes when our waitress comes back to ask if we want a box? We deliberately said no and she went on to say our sum and ask if we pay with cash or card. I guess if you want the experience of a diner with very good Japanese food.... then this is your place."
