"Easy Tiger South Lamar is a trendy spot in Austin, conveniently located near our Airbnb, where six of us stayed for my friend's bachelor party. We walked over for our dinner reservation and were greeted by a friendly server who took our drink orders. However, after our drinks arrived, a person who seemed to be the manager approached us and informed us that we were not allowed to order any more alcohol. Confused, we asked why, and were told that we appeared to be overly intoxicated. Let me clarify: this was simply not the case. When we pressed the issue, we were told that someone had come to speak with us earlier and that we had ignored them. Unfortunately, none of us, including our server, knew who that person was, and the manager would not provide any further details. It seemed like this mysterious individual must have spoken very softly, as none of us heard anything. Feeling a bit frustrated, we proceeded to order our food since we were still allowed to do that. After our meal, I approached the manager to get more clarity on the situation. I learned that in Texas, serving intoxicated individuals is a serious concern for businesses, and that Easy Tiger may have ongoing lawsuits related to this issue. Interestingly, we later discovered that this doesn’t seem to be a problem on Sixth Street. Did we drink before arriving at the restaurant? Yes. Were we causing any disturbances? No. Did we interact with anyone other than our server? Absolutely not. Would I have been honest with the manager and server if we were truly too intoxicated to be in a public space? Yes. Despite this experience, it did not ruin our otherwise fantastic trip to Austin, where we found countless other establishments treating us with respect. I want to reiterate that our server was gracious and even refused our tips, recognizing the situation's absurdity himself. I made sure to give him a little something for his respectful and efficient service. As for the food, the BLT I had was decent, but I suggest toasting the bread on their sandwiches moving forward—unless they intentionally skipped that step for us because they thought we were intoxicated, as plain bread might help absorb the booze more quickly. Overall, I wish I didn’t have to write this review."

The portions were quite small for the price. One person in our group received just six waffle fries.

There was absolutely ZERO need for a reservation. Wasted two hours waiting to for our reservation at a completely empty restaurant.

I’ve been to other Easy Tiger locations, but this was my first visit to S. Lamar. It’s a great location to have a restaurant, but wasn’t very good overall. The service was lacking and I was surprised that the food wasn’t very good. View menu

Tuesday was packed and hard to get a server’s attention—especially when a burger was missing. Ordering from a QR code was a bit difficult for our seniors so they were glad they could order through a server (when they could grab their attention).

A lot of items were not there because of trivia night. The bread was rough and hard as it could be, none of the items tasted good, the fries were good but it was way too much fries with every single dish. We had a team get together our first one, I thought it would be super special, it wasnt

The building and overall experience are fantastic. The food consistently impresses, and the bread is exceptional. I highly recommend trying the pretzel or one of the sandwiches. If you're a beer lover, you'll find a wide selection of excellent options on tap, as well as two well-stocked bars for cocktails. View menu

maybe it was an off day... never been here and have been in Austin since 2018.. TBH it was not what i expected.. the drink i ordered; lavender lemonade was not refreshing- it was very watered down, ended up getting something else and it was perfect, really yummy. The food was blah.. the ambience was dull, overall it was too mediocre for my liking!

The new location holds up a lot of the same great culinary standards that you?ve come to expect of Easy Tiger. The food never disappoints here and the drinks are delicious. The patio is just not as nice to enjoy at this location. My biggest complaint isthe wind, lack of shade, and the street noise. The waiters were efficient but not friendly (which is not the end of the worldbut just something I?ve noticed at pretty much all of the Easy Tigers in the city at this point). I?m starting to wonder ifthere?s enough of the success being passed down to the teams. However, even with those notes I would meet here if you need acasual south spot.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
