Incredible food! Awesome staff (especially the bartenders!!) Love seeing the beef carved fresh off to the side of the restaurant.

We had dinner on Mother’s Day and we’re surprised we got reservations. The food was just okay. We all had the roast beef sandwiches and although they were tasty, the beef was skimpy, the rolls had been microwaved and a bit soggy. The French fries were cool to cold. My daughter had the Mac and cheese and it was a very small portion for the price. So we would say it is not the same great restaurant it used to be but just so-so.

I made a reservation and four of went to dinner Saturday evening. Obviously I did not need a reservation since the dining room was not crowded. We ordered our food and it took a very long time for order to arrive. A group of 8 came in after us, they had salads and soup plus entree and they received their order long before us. There was no apparent reason for such a long wait and no one apologized for the lateness of our order. We come to this restaurant at least once every 5-6 weeks so we were recognized as previous customers by our waitress. We will have to re think going to Eckl's if want to be served in a timely manner.

Once an outstanding restaurant, this has fallen out of favor with good reason. Five of us ordered beef on weck. It was barely room temperature. The horseradish was old and had lost its kick. The au jus was cool. The gravy for the french fries was so salty...and may have been canned. The chocolate marble cake had been frozen and just thawed out. We were the only patrons in one dining room. There was no one at the bar and there was one table in the other dining room with patrons. So sad to see this once great restaurant lose it. Oh, the floors were uneven and hard to walk on. The wait staff was enthusiastic, but it could not make up for the awfulness of the meal. I would never go back. View menu

I have never written a negative review and I feel particularly sad because the corner 's I knew is no longer. When we sat, we received glasses with warm ap-water (no ice) and were then informed that this evening there was no first-class rib or roast beef available, as they ran out of serving the night before and a party earlier a day. To not have the two brackets for which you are most noticed... unbelievable. I ordered a burger (no pommes and no bread) and was delivered to the table with frits, a bread and cheese. I didn't ask for cheese and I was told it was automatically placed on any burger. I sent it back and it was returned without cheese, but still the frits and rolls. My wedge salad...

Eckl’s Restaurant review Don’t go! I haven’t been here since the new owners took over 2/3 years ago. Had expectations, hoping it would get back the Mojo Dale Eckl made famous. Big disappointment. Nothing has changed at this local hole in the wall. That is except for the cloth napkins and table cloths, which is a nice touch. Oh, and a 40% to 50% increase in the prices. The steak was just awful, the local supermarket sells a much better one for $7.99 a pound. They charge $30 for what was an insult to serve.
