"Grimaldis Pizzeria is located in First Colony, right in front of First Colony Mall. You have two more locations in the Houston area; one in the Woodlands and the other in Katy. This fast-growing Brooklyn-based pizzeria also serves brick-ove lime zones to satisfied customers in a dozen states nationwide. It is no wonder that Grimaldis Pizzeria is popular here both in Houston and throughout the country. With over 100 years of experience in making special pizzas in coal stove, Grimaldis Pizzas are distinctive, authentic and simply good! I soon wanted to find out how true this statement is! When you go to Grimaldis Pizzeria, it is like being transported back to classic New York City. The red brick walls and red-white boxed cloths set the stage for the trip we just wanted to board. The local subway system signs are a great note that you are still in Sugar Land. The brick pizza oven sits in the middle of the restaurant like a shrine. If the aroma from the oven hits you like a ton of bricks (pun intended) it is too late... They're too deep. When we stopped on a beautiful Saturday afternoon of Grimaldi, it was easy to see that we were not the only ones who had discovered this wonderful Italian pizzeria. Each table was full of happy people who enjoy the day with friends and loved ones. We ordered a few peronis that is a certain must if you enjoy great pizza. For our appetizers we decided to try the antipasto that has proved to be a great choice. As you can see in photography, this beautifully presented plate was an arrangement of fresh mozzarella, roasted sweet red paprika, genoa salami, olives and freshly baked bread. I definitely suggest the antipasto for beginners. You know how I feel about my salads! Grimaldi's House Salad was suggested by our server, so we went with it. This tasty combination of romaine salad, red onion, cherry tomatoes, roasted sweet red peppers, mushrooms, Sicilian green olives, and savory vinaigrette was wonderfully fresh, crunchy and full of taste. The cherry tomatoes were like small juice bombs that burst into the mouth, and the red onions gave him the spicy bang that makes my mouth water, as I write! When we enjoyed the salad, the first of our two special tile baking pizzas came and what works of art! It was such a beauty that I almost didn't want to cut it up. I almost said. We had Grimaldi's pizza of the month that ordered Prosciutto Arugula Specialty Pizza. This classic white pizza was covered with cut prosciutto, a shaved cheese mixture and fresh arugula. Unbelievable! I love white pizzas and the Prosciutto Arugula was exactly what I had hoped for. If you're not familiar with white pizzas, you don't know what you missed! I think they have a much lighter taste and the crispy crust... It's something special. Now for my visit. I had to try my personal favorite piece, the pizza I always order if I don't try to jump outside the box; a traditional New York thin crust with classic tomato-based pizza sauce and pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms and jalapenos. This precious, crispy treat was so rich in taste it made my cheeks poker. The house wine was the perfect compliment to this wonderful brick-oven rock. I just love the refreshing vinaigrette side kicking out the salad between the bites of such a rich cake. Then, a sip of wine and I was thrown back to the old block in New York. You can say that Grimaldi only uses the finest, freshest ingredients, an element that I feel, separates the good from the big one when it comes to pizza. We had ordered a big pizza because it's just not right to leave a great pizzeria home without a few slices, right? In my book, the perfect pizza cake is an all-day event. Time to dessert! And if I thought our meals couldn't get better, it did! Grimaldis Pizzeria offers a variety of delicious, decadent desserts. Well, I still order a few, but at Grimaldi's, I recommend you get the Dessert Trio. This three-dessert sample includes homemade cheesecake, cannoli and tiramisu. I know it sounds lame, but I really can not only recommend one, because everyone has their own unique taste and texture and everyone is simply irresistible. For the best culinary experience in Grimaldi's Pizzeria, I suggest you take your time and enjoy everything that this new Houston favorite has to offer. In contrast to the racy city in which it started, this pizzeria fits directly into our relaxed Texas culture... so just relax and make it a full-day celebration!"

Delicious 16 Sausage, Pepperoni, Spinach, and green pepper pizza. Thin crust and not too much sauce. The Peach Margarita had plenty of kick also.

The gourmet pizza here is incredible, and don't forget to try the olives! The appetizers are also fantastic. It may seem a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

The pizza is tasty and not greasy, although I find it a bit overpriced. They primarily serve standard pizza toppings. Overall, it's still a great place to dine.

To order a cheese pizza to be collected. It was with a good amount of cheese, not too much and not too little. The tomato sauce had a good grip on it. My only complaint would be that there was too little sauce on the pizza and this caused an extremely dry pizza. Good cheese, good sauce, good crust. Add more sauce guys! Update was back a few times and it's better now. Honestly, my favorite cheese pizza so far. View menu

I ordered the pizza for pickup and they told me it would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrived after about 30 minutes and the phone pizza was room temperature at pickup. We ordered extra mozzarella and there wasn't extra mozzarella on the pizza. If they call this extra, then I would hate to see what regular looks like. The ingredients have great flavor, that's why I ordered extra, just need it throughout the entire pizza and add the extra when we pay for it.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance is pleasant. The pizza arrived quickly, and enjoying it here will help you appreciate the distinction between fast food chains and a true authentic pizza experience. The coal-fired oven really enhances the crust. The generous drizzle of olive oil and the high-quality cheese will have you devouring the pizza in no time. Ah, that feeling after the first bite! It's absolutely mind-blowing for pizza lovers! Just keep indulging until you reach the crust. In short, it's definitely worth a visit!

came here to dinner with my man and we were unfortunately not very impressed by our experience. the service was extremely slow and the restaurant was only maybe three quarters full during our dinner. our waitress remembered what we demanded and had to repeat a few times. we started with an salate that was the best part of our meal at a distance. great fresh veggies and the venaigrette was amazing. I ordered a margherita pizza and my man got a calzone. neither was something special sad. we ordered a cannoli and it was also a disappointment, it tasted everything that was somewhat disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes a good crusty pizza or knows how tradi... View menu

You guys have mastered pizza into another level!! Ever since I entered this place I felt a nice and calm atmosphere. Clean as it can be. Our waitress was nice and friendly at all times. We didn?t had to wait too much to get our food, about 10 minutes or less, once we have ordered. Price range per person is 30 to 50 usd. Things that I loved, family next to us had 2 beautiful kids, they manage to give them pizza dough, they seemed so happy, I almost wanted to ask one for myself! There was just a slightly inconvenience we experienced, although we could see some empty tables, the hostess made us wait for a bit longer (about 10 minutes), it was until I took some pictures that they assign us a tab...

This was my first time going to this establishment and I didn 't really have high expectations from it. I ordered this pizza called The Don , which is a tradition New York style pizza topped with Italian Sausage, Meatballs, and Pepperoni. I 've been to a lof of pizza places in Houston, and I can say this is one of the three places(Luigi 's Frank 's) that I would definitely recommend going to. I was really surprised with the quality of the pizza in terms of the crust, cheese, sauce, etc. It was really delicious since it cooked in a coal oven, which gives out that smoky taste. The balance in flavors have been consistent, that the dough and other ingredients complements each other perfectly. Ou...

"I 've always wanted to eat here when in the Sugar Land Town Plaza area, but never really got the chance until this past Saturday (September 2, 2023 . I can 't recall how many years they 've been participating in Houston Restaurants Weeks (HRW , but it was a good time, and incentive to finally try them out last Labor Day weekend. I was there for a pre-concert dinner. (The concert that I attending was at the Smart Financial Centre nearby. I type nearby because it takes no more than five minutes to get there if you get all green lights. Lol. First thing was that were very accommodating. The HRW site that reservations were required, but since this was a spontaneous decision, I thought I would take a chance, and hopefully get a table. Good thing because the restaurant wasn 't too busy. I was seated by my server, Dalton, who was very friendly, patient, and accommodating. Plus, he didn 't come out as too eager like other servers in other establishments; he didn 't appear at my table every 30 seconds asking how my food (and drink was. That is a pet peeve of mine; seriously, let me, at least, take a bite of my food! Lol. Props to Dalton! As of the food, their HRW menu was in three courses: appetizer, main dish, and dessert. I chose the melon bites, chicken marsala, and tiramisu, respectively. For my drink, it was water, and at first, a cider made by Aval. But, unfortunately, they didn 't have any more so I settled for a Riesling by Leitz. The melon bites were Watermelon, cantaloupe, prosciutto, toasted pistachio and balsamic glaze. This wasn 't your parents cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto appetizer. Just the thought of that presentation makes me shake my head and roll my eyes. Lol. V&V 's presentation was hella pretty. It gave me a look of god, why do I have to destroy this? Forgot to note that this was delicious. Just enough sweetness from the melons, and just enough tartness from the balsamic glaze. The chicken marsala was served with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. This dish was just right: the chicken wasn 't dry nor the sauce too salty. Nor, did the asparagus turned out to taste rubbery. Just enough crisp when cutting it. And, the sauce was a great substitute gravy for the mashed potatoes. The tiramisu was just right, too. The color of it was perfect; sometimes when I order tiramisu, the coffee color takes over from the lady fingers to the mascarpone. And, I 'm not describing the cocoa powder that is shakes on top of it. The espresso taste, by the way, was not overpowering, either. The Riesling was very good. I detected a bit of an orangey smell from it, but actually drinking it, the wine had hints of apple, lime, and tarragon. I don 't drink wine that often, but I kind of want to buy a bottle of this. Lol. I was offered another glass of wine, but the alcohol was sneaking in, and was giving me hints that it was time to go. Plus, I was driving, so that wouldn 't be good. Would I come here again? That would be a yes. The service, food, and drink was great. Plus, I saw that they had pork belly on their menu. There, you see, that 's an incentive! Lol."
