"The atmosphere inside was cozy with vintage memorabilia and menus handing along the walls. $160 for 4 pp, gratuity included. Since it’s an Izakaya, we got to try many dishes. Standout dishes : hamachi sashimi, yuzu ramen was different and refreshing, white corn tempura. The octopus salad was good but a bit on the salty side. Okinawan soba noodles were nicely cooked, pork ribs could be a tad more softer, it wasn’t falling off the bone. Other dishes were standard chicken wings, grilled mackerel, pig ears. Okinawan lime beer was very light, didn’t taste like any alcohol was in it. So if you’re a light weight, it might be for you. Service was great. Staffs were nice and attentive. This place usually quite packed on Fridays and weekends, reservations is recommended. We made reservations the day before. The party has 1.5 hours to dine. Overall, we enjoyed our time there."

I absolutely love this place! Whenever I go, I like to bring friends along so they can experience the amazing food too. If you're a fan of beer and citrus flavors, I highly recommend it...

Wow, was I in America? It felt like I was in Okinawa! The food here is unlike any typical Japanese izakaya, but it's absolutely delicious! The salmon salad, unagi, sweet potato, and pickles were all fantastic, and the beer was pretty good too! I’ll definitely be back. It’s a small place, so good luck finding a spot!

This is a fantastic and truly unique Japanese restaurant that specializes in Okinawan cuisine. The food is delicious, different, and one-of-a-kind. It's family-owned, and all the staff speak Japanese. Keep in mind that it is a small establishment, so it's best to make reservations in advance. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5. A 10/10 dining experience! Their menu is extensive and has a good variety of small bites and entrees. I recommend the chicken wings, sea bass, and ton ton ton (stewed pork rib, feet, and belly). I also enjoyed the “pink beer”—a shiso leaf beer made in house! I noticed a lot of people trying their clam ramen. I’ll have to give it a try next time!

It's cool, this is one of those places you go for the vibes. They do have orion on draft which is rare. I came ten minutes before opening and barely got seated. People that showed up at 5 were turned away. The food was good, but not impressive. The lady running the restaurant was not very nice... seems like she caters way more to her regulars. Service: Dine in

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. This is our 2nd time here, and absolutely love it. Come super early, they open at 5 pm for dinner. The food quality is great and they provide good service. Super small restaurant, but cozy ambiance. Strongly recommend the following on the menu: salmon ikura (roe) bowl, scallop truffle salt carpaccio, blue fin tuna sashimi, takoyaki, fried soft shell crab and cha shiu (pork) ramen!!! View menu

Purely on the over phone customer service incredibly rude! Called on a week day evening to make reservations. Was told nothing was available until a certain time. The time couldn't work for me and my party, so the woman just hung up on me! I get this is a small business, and as a Tustin local, I firmly support small businesses that are consistently deliciously. But, the customer service.. come on! I've eaten here before several times with my husband, but that was so disappointing. I suggest taking the food to go...

OKINAWA, JAPAN (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - If this is your first visit to Habuya, located in a corner of a Tustin plaza next to a Stater Bros., you'll instantly regret not becoming a regular much sooner. Since opening its doors in late 2010, this small Okinawan izakaya has clearly garnered a loyal following, and the restaurant is often bustling with diners. Even before your meal arrives, it's impossible not to smile. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, and the friendly staff only enhance the experience. They juggle multiple tasks seamlessly while treating each customer like a cherished regular, making you feel welcome from the moment you step inside.

"We wanted to try Zov's Bistro and found this restaurant next to it and packed of people. I smelled all the delicious food and was surprised that yelp never recommended this restaurant in Tustin. We ended up changing our mind to give it a try since I have never tried Malaysia cuisine and love trying something new. We ordered calamari, crab rangoon, and a cup of hot and sour soup as appetizers. It was the best fried calamari we ever had, super flavorful and crispy good quality calamari. It was not over breaded or double fried like a lot of fried calamari from other restaurants. Also the best fresh hot and sour soup I have ever had, the peppers the egg and the vinegar just exactly the right portion. The rangoons were basic with fake crab, but a good portion at a great price. For entrees, we ordered Beef Rendang and the seafood clay pot curry with coconut rice chiken rice. You can choose normal steam rice, brown rice, coconut rice and chicken rice. OMG, the coconut rice is like a dessert, smell delicious and it is such a great taste. Seafood clay pot is sooooooo good with fish, scallop, tofu, bunch of veggies and eggplant all in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang is soft, flavorful, and great quality. The curry spices used perfectly complimented the meat without overpowering it. It you want to try extremely good Malaysia food!! Definitely give this place a try."
