"Amazing menu with a large selection of bourbon. We visited for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations but the restaurant did not appear overly busy despite it being prime dinner hours. For drinks I had the Caramel Apple Martini (yum! and my husband had a Bourbon flight. For starters we tried the Bruschetta. The Bruschetta had good flavors the house made bourbon balsamic reduction glaze really was amazing, but I thought the bread was too hard to bite through. For dinner my husband had the 10oz Sirloin with Roasted Red Potatoes and I had the Prime Rib on a toasted baguette with Onion Rings. All the food was delicious. The bread used for the prime rib was perfect for the sandwich and for dipping. And the kale pesto with the roasted red potatoes was an unexpected surprise. Service was friendly though a little slow."

Nice bourbon selection good food They have a very extensive whiskey selection with decent prices I had the burger which was good bar food. The fried pork rinds were nice they fry them in house not homemade) I would recommend this restaurant for a good bar

The selection of bourbon is excellent. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Wife and I had crab cake appetizer which is outstanding. She?s from Maryland and knows her crab cakes. Had French onion soup, sirloin, and asparagus with the bacon and basaltic vinaigrette reduction. Everything was delicious.

We were in town for a football game. Yelp led us to Hale House. I liked the quaint design of the restaurant. Once inside our server was great. She was able to help us make some choices on the menu. The food was great. I got wings and rings. My wife got buffalo chicken wontons. Everything was above par. We will definitely visit next time we are in Charleston. View menu

Great atmosphere here. A lot of energy! The decor is an upscale casual. HUGE whiskey and bourbon selection if you're into it. The service is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the prime rib sandwich with a side of the sweet potato mash. The meat was very juicy, the sauces were flavorful, and the bread was soft and fresh. The sweet potatoes were SOOO sweet! If you want dessert with your dinner I highly recommend! They were fantastic! I would definitely come back here.

I visited this restaurant during a brief stay in town, and I was truly impressed. The prime rib was fantastic—extremely tender and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato dish, topped with what I believe were candied pecans, tasted almost like dessert alongside my dinner. It was delicious! I ended up dining here twice within three days, and both times the staff were exceptionally friendly. For my second meal, I tried their burger, which was large, loaded with cheese, and just perfect.

Great location in Charleston for dinner. I’ve eaten both at the bar and at a table with friends and everyone was impressed with the atmosphere, drinks, and food. Our server was very friendly and attentive with great recommendations for our dinner. My favorite is the roast beef sandwich which is served French dip style. The au jous is delicious. I also got the crème brûlée cheesecake and loved it.The selection of beers on tap is good as well. So far this is my favorite place in Charleston. View menu

This is my absolute favorite place in Charleston hands down. Hale House never misses, it's SO good every single time I go. The food is delicious, the quality is 10/10, the service is fast and every server I've had is friendly. I love the ambiance, it's cozy and inviting and romantic. Not too loud, so you can have a convo and enjoy the vibe. No one ever rushes you so you feel like you have a nice full dinner and can enjoy yourself. I love this place so much! The speakeasy is also a great place to pass time if there is a wait!

Absolutely everything about this place was worth the visit. Luke, our magnificent server, remembered everything we ordered the day before! He attended exceptionally well! All of the menus items were outstanding and well displayed. We returned for the second and third time on this trip. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant! You can’t go wrong. This is the place to go. Don’t think twice!Parking: Metered parking on streets. QR code to scan to pay for parking otherwise. Free after 6pm. Wasn’t difficult to find. Very cute neighborhood to walk around.

"I just have one word that describes my experience here. WOW It was an absolute experience coming here. We were in town for my birthday and decided to eat here for my bday dinner/last night in Charleston. The vibe and atmosphere were classy, fun, and calming. They have a main bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait for a table and can be quite lively later in the evening. The dining rooms are towards the back, a lot quieter and more intimate so has a flavor for whatever you are into. The service was absolutely perfect. Our server (I wish I would have gotten her name she served our party of two at 10pm on Saturday 8/17) was so insanely friendly and personable. She knew her stuff and then some when it came to presenting the menu, but also would come chat with us and give us tips and recs for Charleston as she knew we were from out of town. They also gave us a free cheesecake and glasses of champagne on the house for our celebration. Just overall made us feel incredibly special and welcomed (we don't normally eat at places like this lol). The food, omg.....I am not overstating or being hyperbolic.......this was hands down without a doubt the greatest steak I have ever had in my life. Nothing even comes close. I had the Dry Aged Ribeye, and it has completely ruined steak for me because nothing will ever be that good. My girlfriend got the Filet, and it was in the same ballpark. Just legendary. We also got a side of the lobster Mac Cheese and it was fluffy with a perfect crust on top. Amazing flavor and texture. If you ever have the opportunity to dine, do yourself a favor and go. This was one of the best dinner experiences I have ever had. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience to the wait staff, the chef, servers, everyone there played a part and gave me a memory I will hold onto forever. Thank you!!"
