"I visited Hopfield’s because I frequently find myself in the Hyde Park area. The food was exceptional; I have no complaints about the shishitos, burgers, or dessert — everything was just perfect. The standout of my experience was Kyle, my bartender, who provided the best service I've had in a long time at any Austin establishment. He engaged in great conversation, helped me navigate the menu whenever I had questions, and recommended a beer that was just right for my taste, not too hoppy. I’ll definitely return for their impressive beer selection and to hopefully have another enjoyable conversation with Kyle. Thank you!"

Food was good definitely on the heavier side. I got the lobster roll which I thought was just fine for the price, the mussels and the Bolognese were really good. Two dishes did come out cold but the server comped a few of our drinks. Food was a bit expensive.

I absolutely loved the ambiance of the back rooms; it created the feeling of being in a stylish French home. The mussels were some of the best I've ever tasted, thanks to the incredible broth. Our server, Epiphany, was fabulous and truly enhanced our experience. View menu

What a great little gem of a place with delicious food and craft cocktails. We had a wonderful meal and the bartender Brice made us feel welcomed! We had mussels in a delicious wine sauce with garlic pomme frites, French onion soup perfect for a cloudy weather and an array of desserts. The Brown Rabbit espresso martini was perfection…not too sweet, smooth and delicious. Thumbs up!

When I see “French cuisine “ I expect French but here the food is more like a fusion, please don’t get me wrong the food was tasty but not at all original, very pricey for not being authentic French cuisine. The place was very nice once you are taken to a table, the area for dining is cozy! So a plus for ambience. I give a 4 star for service because they were rushing us out. In France no one rushes you out…so I missed that “no rush feeling ” you get dining in France.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
