"I grew up in the great metropolis of Hickory, NC. I have been gone from the area for about 20 years now, so there are restaurants that have opened recently where I have never been. My parents seem to like this place and since they are paying, I am eating. We sat outside on a chilly yet warm afternoon. Temps in the 70's but a breeze and the sun disappearing on occasion made us keep the jackets close. We were there for lunch and we were the only ones there. It was a Saturday afternoon. The service was a little slow at first but became manageable. I ordered the double chicken breast with bacon and cheese plate and the chicken was cooked perfectly. There were a couple of fatty pieces thrown in there to keep my taste buds and teeth active, but it was overall very good. My daughters ordered the same thing and split it and they also liked it. They claim there was too much cheese on their chicken, and I nearly disowned them. Is that even possible? My parents, who eat like they are birds in the desert with little opportunity to eat, split a sandwich. They barely finished it, but they would split a moonpie and not finish it. I enjoyed the food and the outdoor seating was nice. It was a little pricey. My dish was $14 and a salad was $10. Not great for a family of four or six."

Food was meh. Ordered fish and chips due to Covid limited menu. Fish tasted like old grease. Chips were good. Service SUCKED. Walked in to pick up order and staff just stood there and carried on their conversation at least 5 minutes before acknowledging that I was there to pick up my order. Yes, they knew I was standing there. You want to help local businesses during hard times but you expect to be appreciated. Won 't go back. View menu

Ran by here because it seemed like they had a certain beer on tap and oddly, they didn't. Decided to hang out anyways. This place always kinda smells like stale alcohol, maybe it's a lot more of a party in the evenings than I realize! That being said, we had the irish nachos which were pub chips with corned beef and cheese, which were pretty decent, but not great. All in all, just a totally fine not memorable experience and sometimes that's okay.

Not authentic food Atmosphere seems ok if you're there hanging with friends and drinking. The food was not good. We had Shepard's Pie, Meat pie and Stew. All were flavorless. The cooked carrots were not edible. They were stringy and hard. The server wasn't very friendly but adequate. TV's were extremely loud. Would have been ok if there were a ton of people in there all looking at football, but there were only 8-10 people. Disappointed. Wish it was better.

Ok this place surprised me. The menu is limited right now due to COVID. The staff is very friendly and on top of things. The food was absolutely amazing, I would say try anything on the limited menu they have right now. The sampler appetizer is a must do, the chicken tenders are some of the best that I've had. I ordered the Cajun pasta and the chicken was really good. A must get when you are here is the Mac and cheese with grilled onions, you will not regret it. This was the first time that I was here and I will be coming back multiple times to work over the menu. If you are in the area give this place a try and support a local business. View menu

If you're not going to take advantage of the opportunity to provide good service and quality food, then perhaps it's time to consider closing down. On my first visit, I ordered the fish and fries. Unfortunately, the fish was overcooked, dark brown, and had a taste reminiscent of radiators. The fries were also boiled, lacking any crunch. I typically enjoy having three drinks when I dine out, but I was only able to order one, and that was right when I arrived. It seemed like regular customers received more attention. Despite there being about ten people at the bar, it wasn't busy enough to warrant being ignored. I usually tip generously, but I simply couldn't do that with the level of service...

"Amazing vegan options! Although the menu features only a limited number of vegan dishes, we learned upon ordering that almost any dish could be customized to accommodate a vegan diet. Just be sure to ask if a dish is fried, like the Chimichanga, if you're worried about cross-contamination. The staff and servers were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and authentic, with great prices. My wife and I traveled from Charlotte after a friend's recommendation, and we can't stop raving about how good the food was! It's hard to find good, authentic vegan Mexican food, but Isabelas truly exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Torta Vegana, which had plant-based beef, vegan cheese, rice, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and vegan mayo on a Bolillo roll. It was so filling that I had to take half of it home—though I did share a few bites with my wife! Their homemade tortilla chips are tasty, but they are fried in the same oil as the meat dishes, so they're not entirely vegan. Thankfully, that didn’t stop us from enjoying our meal! Our server, who I think was named Vanessa, was fantastic—enthusiastic and eager to share all the plant-based options available. The chefs even allowed us to try their new vegan chorizo, which was incredible! This place is certainly a hidden gem, and we plan to visit as often as we can. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and truly outstanding food!"
