"However, when it was time for the main course, the floor manager approached us to inform us that they had run out of salmon, and he offered us the steak at the same price instead. Although neither of us wanted steak, we didn't have much choice. I spoke with the manager about the best way to cook the buffalo, and we agreed on medium rare, which would have been my preference as well. We also chose two side dishes: asparagus and scalloped potatoes. When the main course arrived, the buffalo was cooked medium well, resulting in it being dry and tough. The scalloped potatoes were cold, while the asparagus was perfectly fine. We voiced our concerns to the floor manager, who kindly comped us for the main course and our drinks, which I felt was a fair resolution. However, it was hard to understand how a restaurant of this quality could run out of one of just two main course options and how the kitchen could mismanage the order to that extent."
