"I came in for Sunday brunch with my mom. The atmosphere was cool and we were the first few guests in the restaurant before the after church rush. Sara, our server, was delightful and the best part of our visit! She was attentive, allowed us time to view the menu and made some very solid recommendations. We had fried oysters, chicken and grits and brisket hash. Everything was top notch; we filled up on the oysters and had to take our entrees home. I did note that the brisket hash was a bit oily but the meat was tender and flavorful. I 'd recommend this place if you 're looking for more than your run of the mill southern breakfast/brunch. I had the chicken and waffles and my wife had the Pimento cheese burger. Everything was fresh and delicious! I would also recommend the Blackberry bourbon lemonade. The service was excellent as well! Will definitely go back. View menu

Went on a Sunday, traveling home from DC. Brunch menu. Mediocre to be honest. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. But the food left much to be desired. Would not come back if we lived here. Absolutely delicious!! First- we had AMAZING service! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and so very kind! And the food was just amazing! We ordered the pimento cheese and fried pickles as appetizers and they were both really good, super fresh! Ourmain courses were absolutely delicious as well! My husband and I attended Lou Redas in Rocky Mount for the first time. As soon as we opened the door we was greeted with such a warm and friendly greeter. Our waitress had a pleasant and patient attitude. She was very acknowledgeable of the food that was served and she showed much concerned for us liking the food we was eating. Other employees were very kind to their customers as well. The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious. We will certainly come back again.

After a long drive from Florida going north, this is our go to restaurant for a great dinner and a relaxing evening. It is about a 4 minute drive off of I 95 and easy to access. The menu has meats and fish as well as vegetarian choices like a Beyond Burger. Tonight I had the blackened ahi tuna with wontons and the pecorino and cheddar biscuits with maple butter absolutely delicious. My husband had the fish sandwich with fries. Good beer and wine selections as well as cocktails. Fun atmosphere and there are TV's showing sports. Staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend having a meal here!
