"If I could pick a list of top ten restaurants in SF, Marcella's would be close to the top of that list. When I said that I've never had better lasagna than at Marcella's, I was absolutely not joking. Food: we got the carbonara, abruzzo lasagna, and of course a cappuccino. Abruzzo lasagna: I would kill for this lasagna over and over and over again. The texture and bite was absolutely perfect al dente and the flavor was OUT of this world. You haven't experienced lasagna until you've had this one. Carbonara: the cream was so well balanced with the mushrooms and pancetta. Again, pasta was PERFECTLY cooked. Insane flavor. Location: plenty of street parking during the day, Dogpatch games is also cool (next door)Service: the owner is so, so, so nice. What a pleasant man to talk to"

This hidden gem has the best lasagna I’ve ever had. Full stop. It’s also cute and the folks running it are very friendly.

This is the best lasagna I have ever eaten. I used to frequent this restaurant often, but it has been about 5 years since my last visit. The food is still incredible, and it remains my favorite place to eat when I am in the area.

I ordered two lasagnas at this restaurant and they were fantastic. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only drawback for me was that the vinaigrette dressing on the salad could have been more flavorful. Overall, it was a great dining experience. View menu

This place is the real deal. Coming from NY I didn't think I would find a place in the city with food this good that felt like family. The food is outstanding and so reasonably priced for the experience. Couldn't be run by nicer and friendlier people. Don't miss this place while in the neighborhood.

Wow, this restaurant is amazing. The only downside is that it is only open for late breakfast and early lunch, so I can only enjoy fresh food twice a day instead of for every meal. However, you can take trays home for dinner or even freeze them. The only other downside is that I brought my parents and now I have to bring my dad a few slices whenever I travel back to Southern California.

My friend ordered the abruzzo lasagna with spicy sausage, and I had the mushroom lasagna. Both dishes came with a small bread basket and a side of green salad that was well dressed and flavorful. The lasagna portions were served in individual pans and were a good size. The lasagna sheets were thin, and the cheese and sauce used were tasty and not too heavy, so you didn't feel weighed down after finishing the meal. Overall, it was a nice spot to enjoy some delicious Italian food. Parking: Street parking is the only option in the area, which can be challenging depending on the time of day. However, you should be able to find a spot within a 5-10 minute walk without too much difficulty. View menu

It was none other than Lipstick Louie that called and left a voice mail asking for recommendations for the best lasagna in the city. He said he was planning on dropping off the last of the of Ercon Droopers to the Hinklestaff Laboratory there on Odin Lane about 5 pm and perhaps grab some Italian. Well, I hooked up with the the Lip and took him to Marcella's Lasagneria, and I'll tell you why...if you ask 20 people where's the best lasagna, you'll get 20 different answers. But here's the lowdown, I've been to about 40 different Italian restaurants in and around SF and I've never had better Abruzzo Lasagna than what they serve at Marcella's Lasagneria, and nothing even comes close, it's always...

I decided to try the lasagna, since it's a lasagneria after all! The Abruzzo lasagna had a good kick from the sausage and was served in a skillet with a choice of soup or salad. I opted for the tomato/broth based soup with parsley. Bread and house balsamic dressing were also included. The lasagna was amazing. The thin pasta left me feeling satisfied but not overly full. The marinara sauce was delicious and the cheese was tasty. I appreciated that they didn't use ricotta in their lasagna. I wish they offered meatballs, but I'll be sure to try them when I come back next month. I'm excited to work my way through their menu! There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu and the restau...

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
