"We arrived early and had a drink outside in the patio, and decided to eat out there as well. Beautiful restaurant patio and inside.. plus nice bathrooms. Food was terrific; we are Italian and tend to avoid Italian dishes (and Italian restaurants in general). Not so here- we enjoyed the Burrata/ watermelon salad special, the homemade spinach and cheese ravioli (3 huge ones- so soft and light) in vodka blush sauce special, and the pork chop w/ raisins and apples in a port sauce special. All were delicious, nicely presented and large portions. We finished off with/ the NY Cheesecake that had some berries and whipped cream on the side, and it too was fabulous. Our waiter Renee knew the menu, could speak to our ingredient queries, and was polite and friendly. He was excellent. It was a lovely meal and we'll definitely return to Metro North."

Everyone loved their meal (Shrimp scampi and ravioli specials). Great vibe to place. Service was excellent. Price was reasonable. First time we went there, but definitely will go back.

Our favorite restaurant in the Princeton area. Eight of us go there on a regular basis and we have all agreed that every meal we had was exceptional. Great before the theatre or just for a night out. Excellent service.

We had a fantastic lunch! The waitress provided outstanding service and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy our long conversation. The bussers were also very friendly. Since it was our first visit, we can't wait to return! View menu

My sister and I enjoyed a light dinner before heading to McCarter Theater for a performance of "Empire Records, The Musical" on a weeknight. The service, food, and atmosphere were all outstanding. I highly recommend Metro North! - Patti

At the recommendation of a friend we had gone here to celebrate our anniversary. The bartender Mike was an excellent host while we waited for our table. Once seated the service and food continued to be no disappointment. Excellent portion sizes for the price.

Outpost dining was impacted by a rather loud group that had apparently had been enjoying the drink specials for a while before we arrived. I should have asked server to be moved, but we were at the peak of dinner service, and seats were limited. Food was good, and the service was excellent. Other options in Princeton that would fill the same bill. View menu

We had a fabulous dinner at Metro North last night. We arrived a couple of minutes before our 7 PM reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Mary, was fabulous and very happy to answer our questions. We ordered the tomato, avocado, and mozzarella salad for an appetizer and it was terrific. For our dinners, we settled on the Pecan Chicken and the Rigatoni a la Vodka. Both were superb and plentiful as we took doggie bags home for our lunches the next day. We found some room for Tartufo and were not disappointed. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Back to a favorite meal this time their Salmon Oscar. Moist, tender, flaky salmon surrounded by little pasta treats oved a bed of fine spaghetti magnificent. Started with an appetizer staple, their onion soup, well crafted with melted cheese over bread slices. Lots of onion under all that. My initial drink was a Mohito, which is served in a jar with a straw, not a glass. Sweetness just right. Then a glass of wine with my dinner. This Thursday night was a quiet and restful ambience. Typical. One of their best features is a very wide menu selection. Pasta to meat to seafood with many variations on each. Can't miss getting a great meal with service to match. Try it.

"When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend 's kitchen. There aren 't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren 't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as Bob the Food Snob , had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter 's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!"

"Update: 4/10/2022 Came here recently with my wife on our way back from Philly. Hadn’t been here since the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised to see that this place was still here. Ordered the same thing I always do and quality is still good. I’m so glad this little gem of a place is still in business. Prices have gone up a little but so has everything and most restaurants since the pandemic. A hidden gem. Ok, so it’s not one of those fancy Tokyo or New York quality sushi but then again, you’re not paying $500 for dinner (per person) either. I always eat the same thing here — the battered squid dinner plate or lunch, if you’re having it at lunch, with a squid roll and it comes with salad, too. My wife orders the Sushi Boy A or B. It’s a combo plate of such I. And there are lots of other great choices. So far, everyone I’ve taken there, really like the sushi. By the way, my wife is Japanese and she loves sushi (she knows what’s authentic and what’s not). I’ve been to so many of those all-you-can-eat sushi buffet joints where you pay anywhere from $12-20 per person but always end up disappointed. No one would expect to find this place...It’s in a hidden food court surrounded by stores like Gymboree and offices, etc near the Westin hotel in the Princeton Forrestal Village square. While it may be off the beaten path, this place will not disappoint. I’ve been going there for at least 7 years."
