"Our group of six had an amazing dining experience at this casual, friendly, family-owned restaurant. The wine selection complemented the Corsican-inspired cuisine perfectly. My grilled tuna was incredibly delicious, the pork medallions and hanger steak received high praise, and the linguini dish was easily adjusted for the vegetarian in our group. The desserts, including creme brûlée and chocolate fondant, were delightful. Located on Mont-Royal, the restaurant offers high-quality food at reasonable prices. We would definitely return for another meal - reservations are recommended."

This was delicious! Very limited menu. Two of us had the Poisson de jour and one had the Risotto de jour. so full of flavor. This place had a very neighborhood flavor. I'm sorry I won't make a second visit.

Returned here two years later for a fantastic meal. The waiter described two of the dishes we got as Corsican in origin, and they were both top-notch: gnocchi with braised veal and pasta with pork cheeks. Also, we had an excellent and inexpensive rose from...More View menu

We ate here on a previous trip to Montréal and had to come back. We especially love the laid back relaxed feel, combined with perfectly prepared dishes. We will back the next time we are here. *Note, people bring their children to dine here, of which we approve (you must start early, worked brilliantly with our children), if you have an issue with this, perhaps come later in the evening. What an appalling experience. It really put a black mark on our stay in Montreal. 1. We waited 11/2 HOURS for a an undercooked, overseasoned the oregano) and frankly , inedible pizza. They brought out the dessert third-rate profiteroles) BEFORE the entree. And we COULDN"T get two cups of coffee. You know, I hope that it was just inept and terrible service and not hostility against Americans. But it was $100 of inept and inhospitable service. We left starving and incredulous.

Cozy setting with a solid menu of crowd-pleasing French dishes. I had the lamb (a specialty of the house), and it was perfect, juicy, falling off the bone, accompanied by a sweet potato purée, lentils and haricots verts. My husband had steak and frites. When we, the proprietor was also serving as the only bartender and server and managed to do it very well, with friendliness and efficiency. Would highly recommend for those looking for a delicious, if not necessarily innovative, meal and good service.

"This evening I opted for Toqué’s seven-course tasting menu, and while the service was nothing short of exceptional, the experience unfortunately fell flat where it mattered most—the food. I wanted to love Toqué so badly, and I was excited to see if the restaurant lived up to its reputation. To be clear, It’s not that the ingredients were bad. They were fine—perfectly average, even. But we came expecting culinary fireworks, and instead, it was more of a damp sparkler moment. The dishes were neither memorable nor particularly flavorful, leaving little to linger on the palate or in our minds. For a tasting menu at this price point, we anticipated an experience that would excite and surprise, but instead found ourselves with courses that were forgettable and uninspired. Not a single course left me wow’d and despite the modest portion sizes, many of the plates left our table largely untouched. The flavors just didn’t inspire the kind of enthusiasm that draws you back for that next bite, and ultimately, it spoke volumes about the disconnect between expectation and execution. Montreal is overflowing with incredible food, and I’ve long believed it can hold its own against some of the best food cities around the world. With that in mind, I couldn’t help but feel a little deflated. There are so many gems in this city that bring creativity, heart, and an actual punch of flavor—Toqué just didn’t do Montreal any justice tonight."
