"I went of the great reviews I saw on Yelp and decided to give this restaurant a try. We were immediately seated though there was a wait time after we got seated. I ordered the Creole platter and my wife had the seafood gumbo cup. Both dishes were very good. The jambalaya had big chunks of chicken and sausages in it and the meal was very well flavored.my favorite was the seafood gumbo my wife ordered as it had okra and was much more flavored. I would have loved that evenmore over rice but since it was our last night there I didn?t get to revisit but definitely will again when I return. Our waitress Lashondra was very welcoming. I had initially placed an order for the wrong meal and she accommodated methough I wasn?t expecting it. Definitely give this place a try whenever you are in New Orleans. You won?t regret it."

We got a tip to try the Gumbo Shop from a tour guide. He nailed it. We had the seafood gumbo and it was flavorful and worth the stop. Give it a try. Try a hurricane drink also... very good as well.

we really enjoyed the gumbo shop. it could be a little expensive, but compared to a food tour it was reasonable. I had the complete cream dinner. they choose a starter, a starter, a side and a dessert. it was great to try the local kitchen in a session. this was the perfect recommendation of a local guide.

I begin with the rubber bear, it was really good and she understood this task. the drink was only juice. I was very dissatisfied. I have the fish with garnelen creole and it was pretty good. I usually don't eat a tomato sauce, but I did try one and it wasn't my favorite thing, but it wasn't evil. they have no fritted fish on the menu, so they don't look for him. overall it was a beautiful atmosphere with large elastic

if you think gumbo. The rubber bear shop lives up to its name, the gastfreundschaft is well versed in their demeanor they get it everywhere, but our server schicksal was well informed and highly sophisticated with the story of the teller. she was very kind to show us that she explains every court. she was a good man for the facility. our experience here is appreciated forever. thanks to the skill for an amazing unforgettable experience? I liked the chicken/sausage gumbo much better than the seafood gumbo. I assume the sausage gives it more flavor vs the bland seafood gumbo. I kinda expected out of this world gumbo since it was recommended, however, it wasn't. It was very, very good though. My search continues for the world's best gumbo. We were forced to sit outside when the temps just dropped to 50s...my husband and I had a vaccine card but my son didn't so they made us sit outside so don't forget to bringyour vaccine cards! My son had the penne pasta and he said it was pretty good.

Kind service and great food! Can?t go wrong with free warm bread and butter. We did the complete creole dinner and it was nice to try a bit of everything while in the city. Would definitely order the gumbo and jambalaya again but skip on the red beans rice and bread pudding. The rice and beans were nothing special and kind of bland. The bread pudding was too soft, it felt like eggs and much prefer a more bready texture. The vegetarian options were appreciated as therewere different diets at the table. Indoor seating is tight so be prepared to be close to others. A bit pricey but still would recommend!

After arriving in New Orleans, this is the FIRST PLACE we stopped! We didn't even stop and shop at a small boutique before coming here. I had been here one before a few years ago, and I KNEW that I had to come back. I got the creole combination dinner and it was worth every penny. The customer service awesome, I believe our server was Destiny. It got busy right after we arrived, but our server was still exceptional. I recommend getting the Creole Combination Platter for sure! There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I recommend trying both when you have the chance. There's limited seating outside, but it has a great vibe. View menu

this was probably one of the best suggestions from the hotel in which we were. I am not much of a seafood person, so I was hesitant when I came to new orleans. by trying a little different things, we have the complete creole dinner. we chose the chicken andouille gumbo, creole combination plated (shrimp creole, jambalaya, and reba bohnen und reis), creole creamed spinach and the praline Sunday. everything was excellent! it was tasteful and really just delicious. I wish we had time to go back there and try more, or even get the same thing back. on the tip of eating delicious, the service was great and the ambiente was really nice. we would recommend this place to 100% other!
