"I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It looks like an old dive bar but it is so much more than that. It is not a large place but there is seating inside and a really nice area outside with great views of the delta. The food is great! We started with lumpia and we really enjoyed it. They also brought us warm bread with oil and balsamic vinegar and the balsamic was outstanding, super smooth and very flavorful. The soup of the day was lasagna soup. What is lasagna soup I had no idea until I had it here and it was delicious. I had ribeye steak oscar and I am usually hesitant to try this type of dish especially at a new place. I am really glad I ordered this. The steak was cooked perfectly and the crab was really fresh and cooked correctly. I could be wrong but the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was from scratch. My lovely wife had the steak and lobster with baked potato. Steak was medium rear exactly as we asked and the lobster was a good size and once again cooked perfectly. They have specials every day and we will definitely be going back. If you are looking for fine dining this isn't it but if you are looking for a fun place for cocktails and a really tasty dinner with wait staff that are really fun to interact with this is the place."

This place will surprise you, not only are the views of the delta over the bar spectacular but the bartenders and wait staff are very accommodating. The weekend menu (Friday Saturday) is pretty amazing. done by a superstar chef. Come have a rowdy time with your friends, drive your boat(they have a dock) or drive. You'll have a blast. You should join us on Thursdays for taco Thursday/karaoke night. Definitely a loud party place.

Rusty porthole is probably the best bar on bethel Island (although delta sports bar has serious potential) definitely with a waterfront and docks. Venue: the venue is great. Dark wood, sea faring decorations, nautical lines, exactly the sort of details a bar on the water should have. Staff: its is OK, never rude, but usually busy and it's easy to overlook patrons. There is a fairly common disorganization streak that runs through the place. Part of it stems from the bar and the restaurant being separate operations. One hand truly doesn't know what the other is doing. The staff also has site specific protocols, not necessarily good. They are the only bar on the delta that have a dress code. Ho...
