"In a word, Outstanding! I rarely post reviews, but it's a pleasure if you can scream out. Six of us went to dinner tonight. We were greeted in the restaurant with smiles and a sense of humor by a cheerful staff and immediately placed on our table. The drinks were great and the bread served, just after sitting, warm and fresh. One of the first things I noticed was that although the restaurant was very busy, we were able to reverse without having to compete with the ambient noise. A pleasant change from the typical loud restaurant atmosphere, which I experience more and more in these days. Some of us had a starter or salad and all made a point to share their joy. My butter salad was great. The participants were simply delicious and elegantly presented. I have selected a duck from the optional Valentine's Day menu. A Dungeness crab sole that was exquisito. The bananas Foster and vanilla ice cream that we shared for Dessert were the perfect end for a delightful culinary experience. The service was perfect with a small exception. The coffee ordered with Dessert was brought to the table just before the dessert. Our server, whose name unfortunately comes to me, for whom I apologize, was warm and attentive with a brilliant smile. Of course, our first experience at Solano's was just excellent."

PART ONE: Wandered over to The Grill on Main Street, across from the Embassy Suites Were quoted a 45 minute wait by the hostess.

Seven of us were there for a happy hour. We all enjoyed the food. The Halibut Bites are not biting but beautiful pieces with a beautiful presentation and quite delicious. Would recommend. Service was excellent.

We had a twenty person group for dinner on the patio. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Fransisco handled our group with a team of waitresses and waiters that truly were exceptional and everyone had a great time. View menu

It is a very friendly, relaxing and classy place to be for a nice meal. Service is excellent. They are attentive and professional. I ordered the Thai Salmon with soba noodles. It tastes delicious like heaven. The salmon is fresh and tasty and the noodle is flavored perfectly with the sauce. I will definitely come back again if I am in town next time.

I went to Solano's in La Quinta for lunch today and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the chef's fish tacos which were fresh and flavorful. I ran into the chef/owner while I was there and he told me about his focus on organic and locally grown ingredients. You could see by the way he talks he really has a passion for food and the way he describes his dinner menu I will definitely be coming back to check it out.

"This is La Quinta old style, which is most of La Quinta and I don't mean this in a negative way, but if you are looking for a unique Italian Experience, this is not it. What it IS is reasonably good food, that is predictable and exactly what you think, in a very comfortable, if dated setting. Even the the background music seems like something from the 50's, not bad, just predictable. The restaurant offers a huge comfortable patio (in the days of COVID a big plus) with lots of plants, misters and comfortable seating. The wait staff is generally friendly and agreeable. The evening we were there the hostess was bussing tables and taking initial drink orders which led to a bit of a wait to be seated, probably a result of understaffing in the face of all the issues of the pandemic. It was happy hour so not sure what they do during the dinner hour. We had two cocktails, an appetizer and happy hour pizza. The drinks were ok, if a little too expensive. The calamari was good, a little tough. We had the pepperoni pizza, and that was good. The service was good. It all came in at just under $50, but the drinks were $24 of that. I look forward to returning to try a salad, perhaps a glass of wine and see how it all stacks up. This was our first visit in the 2.5 years we have been here, we have been pretty big Stuft Pizza fans, but the larger patio make a big difference, and the wait at stuffed has gotten pretty insufferable. Not their fault, but it is what it is."
