"The location has tricky parking, the restaurant was cute but a bit dated inside and the bar was like something out of a western, but not in a good way. Good service, good prep time. Fish tacos came highly recommended, however they fell short of the mark. This place was recommended to me by someone who's opinion I hold highly so I'll be nice and just say that the food was ok...fish was dry, toppings were mundane and unimaginative and the salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. Only about 35% of the meal was any good....more attention needed to be paid to the cooking component."

Good food for Taco Tuesday. Just about the worst margarita and bartender. Will not return anytime soon.

It was a great experience to enter this trendy, dimly lit bar on a scorching day in Ashland. The drinks were delicious, the atmosphere inviting, and the taquitos were yum!

Taco Tuesday is always busy, so expect a wait. Seating is first-come, but the bar area is also available. Decent prices for quality food. Margaritas are also handmade to order. View menu

Very, very pleased with Taqueria Picaro! The portions are more than sufficient and the flavor is amazing! Prices are average and the food is phenomenal! The vibe inside is also fantastic!

I enjoyed a delicious torta paired with a strawberry margarita, although the drink was just okay. However, I was disappointed by the loud and unpleasant rap music playing in the background.

Taco Tuesday!! This bar is a real local’s haunt and, dare I say, appears to be the social hub for single folks of a certain age… the bartender was seasoned and made some yummy margs. $5 tacos, margaritas, chips salsa, etc. Great local vibe buzz View menu

This was a hidden find. Hidden because it was a random stop for us on a road trip. I almost wish they were in my hometown, would love to go here once a week. Had the al pastor burrito, taco and tamale. All were good, and their salsas are amazing as well. If you are in the area randomly like us, definitely check out the place!

The food here is fantastic. My palette for Mexican food is diverse, from One of the best... Red Iguana (SLC) to and can of benzine infused fish taco in Mexico, the food here is underrated by my fellow Googlians. The picadillo here is just that. The restaurant could be more like the bar but who am I to say what their recipes are. Friendly staff, good food, affordable. Love.

"I ordered an Old Fashioned, having previously enjoyed a strong one on my last visit. This time, however, it was disappointing—not strong at all. The fruit muddled at the bottom not only interfered with the flavor but also left a chalky aftertaste. To make matters worse, it seemed like the staff was completely oblivious to the fact that a majority of the diners (10 out of 12) were visibly uncomfortable, huddled in their jackets because the restaurant was quite cold. I was dressed in a sweatshirt, hat, and sweatpants—and I usually run hot—but even I felt chilly. My plate was cold to the touch after just 10 minutes of eating, and the asparagus served with my main course was equally cold. I had ordered the filet mignon, which was recommended by our server. When asked how I wanted it cooked, I specifically requested medium rare. To my dismay, the steak arrived so rare that it was chewy, with one side oozing while the other was barely cooked. When I informed the server, she quickly took it back to the kitchen. However, when it returned, it was still blood red rare. For $13, my Old Fashioned was unsatisfactory, and the $49 filet mignon had been undercooked not just once, but twice. This raises serious questions about the bartender’s understanding of what an Old Fashioned should be, the chef’s ability to properly cook the most expensive cut of beef on the menu, and the waitstaff’s awareness of the discomfort their guests were experiencing in a dining room that felt like it was maintained at a chilly 50 degrees. In the end, I did enjoy spending time with my friend and left feeling full, but I can't shake the feeling that I didn’t experience true fine dining or even a quality meal."
