"Starting with the appetizers, I tried the macaroni and cheese, which was made from Monterey Jack and a few other cheeses. Unfortunately, it didn’t stand out and was quite ordinary. The greens were tossed with chopped onions and a hint of vinegar, making them fairly generic as well. However, the baked beans were the highlight of the appetizers. They had a thick sauce with just the right amount of sweetness, and I think smoking them would enhance their flavor even more.
Now, onto the meats. The sampler included chicken, pork, brisket, and a rib, all smoked with hickory and oak. Everything was tender and juicy, with a nice subtle flavor. The real standout, though, was the burnt ends. They were incredibly flavorful and absolutely delicious.
My server, Ike, was excellent. He explained the menu clearly and kept my refills coming. Overall, it was a good experience, but there’s room for improvement in some of the side dishes."
