"Tonight, I took a dear friend out for dinner as a pre-birthday treat, but to my surprise, the owner was off for the day. His son was managing the restaurant in his absence and made sure I got my usual meal. The portion was slightly smaller than I remembered, but it was just as delicious and satisfying. Throughout the years, whether it was a weekday or weekend, the restaurant has always been popular, often requiring a wait of up to 30 minutes for a table. I was concerned that the pandemic might have impacted them, but they’ve clearly weathered it well; the dining room was bustling tonight, every table filled, and the staff was attentive to each guest, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere."

The food and cappuccino were excellent, and the service was delightful. They currently do not require proof of vaccination.

My friend and I are craving for risotto, and they have really good ones! The fungi risotto is so delicious! The squid ink risotto is tasty but a little sour, I still love it tho. Great atmosphere for chatting and enjoy your time.

I absolutely adore this charming little restaurant. The squid ink pasta is exceptional and quite rare to come by. The waitstaff and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'm really happy that one of my favorite dining spots is still around! View menu

Came for an outdoor dinner on a Sunday evening. It was divine. The wait staff feels so settled into the establishment, as if they came with the building. It has a very classic NY Italian feeling, like what you imagine in the movies. I had lobster, mussel clam fra diavolo- absolutely delicious. Seafood was not overcooked and the spice was just right. I look forward to returning.

Very charming restaurant! I happened to drop in to escape the heatwave and had a fantastic experience. Our waiter was wonderful. I ordered the fettuccine with shrimp and mushrooms, and it was homemade and delicious. As someone who makes their own pasta and is Italian, I can confidently say my dish was outstanding. The bread and appetizer were just okay, but the pasta was exquisite. The atmosphere was perfect!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
