"I made a reservation for a Tuesday night and was greeted by the hostess who rudely said your table is here when we arrived and pointed to a table in the take-out area. Since it was my first time here, I assumed this was the eating area, but I was wrong as person after person was escorted nicely to the back restaurant area. People with reservations or not were treated warmly while we sat in the hot take-out area as people sat crowded around us as they waited for their orders. I ordered the Chicken Piccata which was one piece of fatty chicken. By the time the waiter checked on us my husband was almost done eating so I refused to wait for another piece of chicken. I did ask the waiter about other seating and he nervously laughed saying there were two other restaurant seating areas. We got the check and left and walking past the restaurant part we saw there were plenty of tables in the restaurant part so there was no excuse to seat us in the hot take-out area. Horrible experience, do not recommend."

We were awarded the opportunity to have Nick at the bar assist us with our dining experience. The brick oven pizza is on point, and they have Naty Boy in tap. Thanks Nick for a stellar evening.

We had Detroit style pizza- the first in our life. It is a deep dish pizza baked on a square metal sheet. It was excellent. Our waiter Nick was helpful and provided service with a smile. Great place for a casual lunch.

8pm reservations and the restaurant was chaotic. They were understaffed and continued to take reservations and take out orders. As of 8:30pm, not one server came to take our order. We left. Don't waste your time. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Really enjoyed our lunch at Ava’s. The chefs favorite pizza was quite good, as was the homemade Parmesan potato chips. The beignets were huge and delicious. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and nice staff. Plenty of good wine selections and a full bar with a nice cocktail list. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch View menu

Where to start? In a 5 star rating systemLocation and decor 5 starsFood 6 starsService 7 starsIf you're in town visiting make this your lunch/dinner stop. Sit, unbutton, and be ready to become part of the family. Amazing portions with amazing flavor in everything our group ordered. I mean, they cook with love here and you can taste it in every bite. Thank you to our hosts for making this such a memorable experience and keep up the amazing work!

Ava’s ended up being a great place to host a luncheon for my son and his soon to be bride in their semi private dining area. William was easy to communicate with via email and answered all of my many questions. We were able to set up and decorate the space when they opened and had the room to ourselves for as long as we wanted. The food and service were great and the “family style” portions for the prefix group menu was more than generous. Ava’s was just the right place for a casual yet special gathering of family and friends.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
