"We ate there for dinner our last night, and while there was a wait for our table it was close enough that we could run back to the room to wait. And it was worth the wait. I got the prime rib special (which wasn’t sold out even though it was later in the evening) and it was delicious! My boyfriend got the yellow fin tuna special and very much enjoyed his as well. The service was great, and the atmosphered was nice and cozy (I think it’s called Dinky’s because the kitchen and dining room are dinky, but that’s just my theory) with a nautical theme, and they have a great view of the sound. It was an excellent meal and experience, and we will definitely be going back on our next vacation!"

Go every time we are in Hatteras. Always have a great time/ experience. Can't wait to go back. Gets crowded quick. Best for 2 or 4 tops. Larger party's take quite a bit longer to seat. View menu

Great resort area seafood restaurant. One of three higher end restaurants in Hatteras proper. People begin lining up at 430 for the 5pm opening. Menu is vast, with daily specials. One of my regular places while in Hatteras.

This review isn't about the food, since we didn't get a chance to try any. When we arrived, there were open tables, and only one family was waiting in the lobby. The hostess just stared at us until we spoke up, only to inform us that there would be a 90-minute wait. We had no idea why, especially with so many tables available. View menu

The atmosphere was lovely, with a beautiful view and excellent service. I would give it 4 stars, mainly because the snow crab legs on our seafood platter were quite disappointing—dry and almost devoid of meat, which was especially frustrating. However, everything else was delicious. We enjoyed the tuna croquettes as appetizers, and my kiddo had a Caesar salad, though it was a bit small for $20. The clams, shrimp, and mussels on the platter were fantastic, and the cocktails were delicious. Overall, I'm certainly looking forward to coming back.

After dining at numerous restaurants during our frequent visits to Hatteras over the past three years, we finally decided to try Dinkys Restaurant for the first time, and it exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, it is the best restaurant we have experienced so far. I ordered the Duck and Rockafella Oysters, and they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience! Service was great and the waitress very sweet!
