"It used to be a great place, but has really declined. My wife ordered the Gnocchi Sorrentino for $19.95. The portion size in the photo was half of what we actually received. When we tried to address our concern and mentioned that we felt we were served a lunch portion instead, the manager, Herman, dismissed us, saying it wasn't his fault. He acknowledged that he took the dinner order, but claimed he had no control over what the kitchen served. We tried to explain that as the manager, he should indeed have oversight. After this experience, we have decided we will not be dining there again. The service was disappointing!"

Amazing, delicious and huge portions. Great wine list. Service is excellent and never feel rushed. Love all pasta dishes and sauces.

It used to be a great place, but it's gone downhill. My wife ordered the Gnocchi Sorrentino dinner for $19.95. The portion we received was only half of what was shown in the picture. When we tried to raise our concerns, the manager, Herman, told us it wasn't his fault and that he had only written down the order, claiming he had no control over what the kitchen served. We tried explaining that, as the manager, he should have some say in this. Unfortunately, this experience has left us unwilling to order from there again. The service was disappointing!

"Update 11/19/22: So far I’ve had the Dolma 3 times and sadly I won’t ever be ordering it again. First time, I really enjoyed it. It was nice and tangy and had good flavor. Second time, it was definitely a different recipe, and did not taste as good as the first time but it was edible. This most recent order was again a different recipe, did not have the same flavor as the first two times, was a lot more spicy and had some other spices in it that weren’t in jt before and the dealbreaker for us was that all of our stuffed onions were so burnt that we could not eat them and threw them out. They were burnt through to the middle, not just the outside. The grape leaves were all mushy and just hard to eat, there were no peppers, and they gave us such a small portion for $14.99. This time there was bread which I appreciated, however, the bread was raw around the edges and so we just ended up throwing that out as well. Why are you serving burnt dolma? If you see that it’s burnt, you don’t serve it! If you want returning customers you don’t cheat people out of their money. We ordered Dolma for takeout. And the mint yogurt drink. The dolma is very good and nice and tangy as Iraqi Dolma should be. I don’t like that they placed the dolma on a bed of shredded lettuce. I don’t get that. No one wants to eat soggy lettuce. Would have been better with bread underneath or just plain with nothing. Also it’s a total waste of lettuce because no one eats it. The yogurt drink was also good but unfortunately it was warm. Would have liked it better if it was ice cold. That being said, I’m happy about there being an Iraqi restaurant in the neighborhood and I look forward to going there to try out more delicious Iraqi food."

"Son had Swordfish Steak, was very dry. I had Chicken Souvlaki which was bland and a little dry and served on a hot plate, which also had a side salad on it. So aside from it not being a greek salad, it was also hot. Who wants to eat a hot salad? Who would serve a house salad with an italian tasting dressing with Chicken Souvlaki? Other son had the Lamb Shank which he described as MEH Waited a little to long for our waitress to attend to us, and yes we had a reservation and no it was not busy. At the end of the meal which was after 8pm we sat unattended for a good 15 minutes with empty water glasses and no drinks and had to get servers attention."

"The pizza was fantastic. The only problem was that the delivery driver tilted the pizza box sideways when taking it out of her car, causing all the cheese and toppings to slide off the crust—and even underneath it. I ended up having to piece the whole thing back together."

"I have dined there for an afternoon lunch and we sat upstairs. It was Relaxing with comfortable seating. I can't say enough about the staff and how they truly care about the guest. after doing that, I then decided to do the Delivery Service. I deliver to the house in Wayne once a week . Delivery is first class service every time , dinners come prompt at the time requested . Food is always hot, great garlic bread The Pomodoro salad with the grilled chicken is awesome for a lighter meal"

"I can't say enough good things about Primo Amore. Linda is absolutely fantastic. Your staff is excellent. I was in Primo Amore for dinner and organized a party of 35 people for a private event. The food was excellent - I have high expectations coming from Bergen County, where Italian food was very well made! It exceeded my expectations. Great portions and great dishes. Fresh mozzarella on the calf shell, a huge portion of seafood salad with many different types of fish, large sides, the fish was fresh, fried Calamari was plentiful... the list continues. I recommend a party with Linda. She is incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Your help and attention made the planning of a party easy! The service is charming and diligent. Add Primo Amore to your list of excellent Italian restaurants in Bergen County/Northern New Jersey. The guests said we found a new restaurant!"
