"I wish we could have visited this place pre-COVID. With that stated this was a great place to stop in for great lattes and couple of croissant sandwiches. The staff were warm and inviting. They are taking appropriate COVID-19 safety measures. My wife had the spinach and feta while I went with the ham and cheese. Both were flaky, moist and delicious! Not sure what coffee they use but it was really good as well. We love walking D.C. when we have the chance and are always looking for great spots like this. We'll definitely enjoy Firehook Bakery again."

I tried the raspberry filling, and I enjoyed it in the brioche. However, I wish it had been fresh. Unfortunately, it was somewhat squished.

I tried the raspberry filling in the brioche, and I really enjoyed it. However, I wish it had been fresher. Unfortunately, it was a bit overdone.

the worst experience ever. I insisted on chocolate cake, but they somehow convinced me to get the strawberry vanilla cake that tasted terrible. never try it

Very friendly staff. Coffee is always on point and made fresh. The pastries are a favorite within my office. Power players in the senate like to meet here and talk shop. Great little coffee house. View menu

really good coffee, other drinks and bakery. Their sandwiches and salad aren't always good but the baked goods are amazing. It's small and can get crowded, better for grab and go than sitting down.

I ordered a strawberries and cream cake for my mother's birthday, but it was quite firm and dry. When I called to provide my feedback and ask for a refund, they insisted that I return the cake so they could taste it. I will never order from this bakery again!

I absolutely love Firehook! The cookies are incredible, the coffee is fantastic, and the staff here are wonderful. They seem to recognize many of the regular customers and remember their orders. Conveniently located at the top of the metro station, it's an easy stop for anyone visiting the Smithsonian museums. View menu

It was a chilly day, and we were welcomed by a friendly staff. The hot chocolate was incredibly creamy and served in a generous portion. We settled in and warmed up nicely. Our group ordered a variety of muffins, cookies, and a fruit dish, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. You definitely need to check this place out!

I took the metro and stumbled upon this restaurant on my way to the Newseum. I’m so glad they were open on Thanksgiving because they were incredibly busy! The line moved quickly, though. The yogurt parfait was fresh and delicious, and the cookies were massive and reasonably priced. I tried the oatmeal raisin cookie, and it was outstanding. Plus, I appreciated that they offered soda for those of us who aren’t coffee drinkers!
