"We have been coming to this restaurant for several years. In fact, we remember when it was called Home and had different owners. Lately we have noticed a significant change in quality of service for the worse. Today we stopped in for brunch. Immediately the hostess asked us if we had reservations. While looking around the almost empty outdoor seating area, we admitted we did not have a reservation. The host then began to seat us at a table inside the restaurant. My significant other and I preferred to sit outside, so we politely asked if we could sit in one of the many empty tables or booths outside. The hostess quickly replied we have SEVERAL RESERVATIONS, so unfortunately, no . My boyfriend and I politely pointed out over half of their outdoor tables were vacant. The hostess replied and said she would have to check with the manager . She came back a few minutes later and agreed to let us sit outside but only at a small table or small booth to make sure all of their large reservations could be accommodated. We happily thanked the hostess and sat down. After a few minutes our waitress came around and took our order. The food was pretty good; which it always has been. However, the waitress seemed to be deliberately ignoring us throughout our meal. She was more than happy to help the table next to us on several occasions and only came over to our table when we flagged her down with much effort. At one point I literally had to get up, and track her down inside the restaurant to ask for more iced tea and salt and pepper (which was not on any table). To top it all off- literally NO ONE came into the restaurant during the entire time we were dining. We were specifically told we could not sit outside because of SEVERAL LARGE RESERVATIONS that were coming soon . Seems weird that the entire hour we were dining, no one came in at all. Did all those large reservations cancel? As we were getting up to leave, another couple walked in and were immediately seated (without question) at an outdoor booth. Was this the large reservation they were so concerned about seating? Seems odd since there was plenty of room for an additional couple in the outdoor area while we were dining. Makes me wonder why Ivanhoe treated us so differently when we asked to be seated outside.I 'm not sure if the bad service we received today was because we had the audacity to ask to be sat outside on a beautiful day, or if it was something else. However, the whole reservations game is kinda obnoxious and pretentious when the customer is literally staring at a half empty restaurant. Either way, Ivanhoe can rest assured, we will not be returning. This will leave them plenty of room for all of their large reservations they seem to have coming in."

Charming little restaurant with valet parking available. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating. We began our meal with the cheese curds, and they were fantastic! This is definitely a place I plan to return to. Food rating: 4/5.

Visited with the entire family—kids, selective adults, and Spanish-speaking seniors. We booked an hour in advance, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and followed strict COVID safety measures. I can't praise the team enough; everyone was fantastic, especially our server Kevin, who was professional and exceptionally patient. The food was great—I especially enjoyed the beet hummus and breakfast tacos. Definitely coming back! View menu

This was my first time visiting this restaurant for something other than coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp tacos, which come with a choice of side, were excellent. I would recommend opting for the slaw as your side; it pairs really well. The fries were crispy and fresh, too. I’d give them five stars for their great beer selection, including Franciskaner on draft along with others like Space Dust. The service was quick and efficient, making it a perfect spot for gatherings and large groups.

First time here and it won't be the last. We tried coming last Sunday but it was closed. So when we saw that it was opened, we jumped at the chance and we're glad that we did! We sat in a booth in the spacious and airy patio with our dog. They brought water for Ollie and we ordered the Ivanhoe margarita, which was the BEST margarita that I've had in a LONG time. Darn near perfect. To eat, we ordered the calamari, garlic truffle fries and the short rib sandwich with a clam chowder. It was ALL delicious. At one point, I suffered the dilemma of choosing what to eat next. I literally had a calamari on my fork, a sandwich in my hand and thinking about the fries... no lie! Great place, gotta try i...

Our experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. We called in advance with our group of 6 to inquire about their availability at 1:30pm on Memorial Day. The hostess assured us they were not busy and took a reservation for 2pm. However, when we arrived, we waited for about 20 minutes before having to ask for water. The hostess then informed us that they only had two servers due to a private party in another room. This was a surprise to us as we were never informed about the limited staff when we called. Our orders were eventually brought out, but we found the prices to be high for the basic food we received. The pancakes were decent, but I was disappointed to only receive a single s... View menu

Okay, but overpriced food, really bad overall experience. I'm not sure what possessed the space cadet hostess to literally run out from behind the hostess stand chase down my boyfriend to stop him hit on him on the way out but she was very lucky I kept walking. Who the actual f does that, and also while they're working, and also to a patron, and especially when you look like that?! Absurdly unprofessional; that should be grounds for termination if a male employee did that it wouldn't be tolerated. So uncomfortable, what a bozo! Aside from this clown chasing us down to harass my boyfriend, the service was terrible. No one came to our table for about 25 minutes, we didn't get any water, and we...

I have been a regular at this restaurant for years, even when it was known as Home. The Ivanhoe location has undergone a nice renovation, but I do miss the cozy homey interior with curtains for private parties. My friends and I were looking for a place open on Memorial Day and noticed that Ivanhoe was open, so we decided to give it a try. Valet parking costs $6. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated promptly, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was quite busy for a holiday, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed (the hostess even forgot she had seated us, which we found endearing). After a short wait, we ordered the chilaquiles in Rojo sauce, fish chips, lemonade, and ma...

"I never leave bad reviews when I can help, but from our experience last night I only had to say for dinner as a whole was so disappointing, the least and after the output it was just a complete bill. if they come here for a nice dinner, they have great food or steaks please skip. go somewhere else food: we ordered the oysters, lobster bisque, bread basket (the btw is) and the tomahawk steak with sides. the entire meal was nothing special, characterized by the fact that even though our server always say that its just come out of the often his hot we have the broth basket roomtemp and the lobster bisque as a think. none of them were served hot. I give these stars only because of the tomahawk steak in the middle well, it was delicious. it was a hope that it would be good, right? we ordered the familiar and the brussels sprouts, but it came out, served on small dust sacks. small portions. a little taste. Note: they no longer serve the special measurable and sauce for any steak order. bummer ambiance service: la boucherie is on the floor of the hotel so that the prospects in the night are amazing. server were nice and polite. they were attentive and very professional. everything in all, if I can turn back the time, I wouldn't be here at all. the evening has lost its elegance and prices do not justify the disappointing food. I hope they can fix this and bring back the old la boucherie charme and aromen."
