"I LOVE KALE MY NAME! The food coupled with the amazing owner, Nemanja, and wonderful staff, make it an extraordinary experience every time! My absolute favorite is the cauliflower and waffles, which I ordered for three straight visits (brunch is now ALL DAY !!! I also really enjoy the Mac n cheese balls, oyster mushroom wrap, lentil soup, chilaquiles, and avocado tacos. When I’m feeling boozy, my favorite is the lavender mojito. There is so much more left to try here, and I think vegans and non-vegans alike would find something to enjoy. I know because, I brought my family in for my birthday :"

I have been trying to get to Kale My Name for a while. I am so glad that I finally made it. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all outstanding. You can't go wrong with the oyster mushroom sandwich!

Came here for dinner one night recently and the food didn’t disappoint one bit! There were so many options to choose from and I couldn’t get over how good the fried cauli was! I also got to meet the owner and he was so hospitable. Will I be back next fine I’m in town? YESSS!

The food is decent. As a vegetarian, it's great to have a variety of choices on the menu. However, the dishes are either too plain or too salty, lacking in other flavors. The layout of the restaurant is disorienting, and the service was not great. We had to call the staff over multiple times to get anything. View menu

The evening at the restaurant was calm. There was ample street parking available. The service was good. Although I am not vegan, I dined with some friends who are. The vegetarian dishes were mostly enjoyable. The fried cauliflower was particularly outstanding. The plant-based meats were decent, better than what I have tried as a meat-eater. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

The food at this restaurant was delicious, satisfying, and healthy. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was festive. We ordered Mac n cheese balls and pita with dip, both of which were delicious. The ranch that came with the balls was especially tasty. The dip was a Balkan red bell pepper with roasted eggplant, and it was delicious. The Thanksgiving feast was enough to feed three people with leftovers. The fried breaded chicken patties with gravy and mashed potatoes were hearty and did not taste vegan. The owner came to our table and was welcoming and kind.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
