"My party of four had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night and were promptly seated at the restaurant. The server greeted us cheerfully, opened our wine bottle, explained the specials, and gave us time to look at the menu. We started with arancini balls and homemade meatballs for appetizers. The arancini balls were tasty but small, while the meatballs were flavorful and a good size to share. We also ordered grilled bread slices, which were very good. For our entrees, I had the tortelloni with meatballs special, which was outstanding and a generous portion. The rest of my group ordered different pasta dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. We took some leftovers home. For dessert, I had coffee and shared mini cannoli with my wife, which were average. The other couple had tiramisu and enjoyed it. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The parking lot is small and the dining area is cozy with tables close together. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and we plan to return soon."

Everything was terrific from start to finish. Our appetizers and entrees were terrific and large portions as well. We will not hesitate to return.

The food is always amazing here! The fries gnocchi are to die for and every entree that we have tried has been amazing! Small quaint restaurant, with a lot of big flavors!

We went to La Polpetta with a group of friends for restaurant week and the food was delicious. We loved all four courses! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone! View menu

Food was excellent as always. Best mussels and great pizza. Nicky T belongs in a top notch restaurant in Center City Philadelphia or Passyunk Ave. This is a hidden gem in S Jersey.

Food is always good here, but service has been very slow in the past. It seems they have added more staff, so we didn't wait as long as usual for our food. The one down side is a limited menu, but everything they service is delicious and prepared nicely.

The chef always prepares distinct Italian dishes with some flare. The salmon was excellent and so was the farfalle pasta with mushrooms other ingridiants. I will return soon. the food is always at a level worthly of a Top Notch Center City restaurant. he should be cooking in Center City Phila or Passyunk Ave. in Phila and he would be much more appreciated. Our dinner at LaPolpetta was in one word Strange. Salad was ala crate so I ordered the Italian salad which consist of lettuce, provolone, peppers and a Italian neat. Salad came minus the meat and dressing was from a bottle. We asked for bread and were told the chef said they don’t do bread any longer because people would ask for seconds. It became tooo costly. So, we bought bread. Very good, grilled and sliced with butter. They have a small menu but chose the gnocchi with short rib and chicken parm. Unmemorable to describe meal. Little food, not worth going back.

Our Second visit to La Polpetta. My dish was excellent. My fiance's Chicken Saltabucca was dry, hard to cut the chicken, bland taste, disappointing. Cost to eat went up substantially from a year ago. The menu was a Valentines menu we were told. We were expecting to view their meatballs on the menu, they were missing. Main reason we went to the restaurant. Its BYOB, which is great. Everything on the menu was Al la Cart, We an appetizer. No bread accompanied our meal, a first when eating at an Italian restaurant for us. The value wasn't worth it. I spent with tip $71.71 and we had our own wine.
