"I've eaten at Larsen's Grill in Simi Valley many times over the last 5 years. The meals have been reliably good. Service has been all over the map, but generally good and sometimes great, depending on the server. I hadn't been at all during the COVID pandemic and was looking forward to my visit on October 1. It didn't go well. Ordered a bottle of wine, a Caesar Salad split for two, two Prime Rib entrees (one medium and one medium rare), and a Butter Cake split. Problems started with the wine. The server took quite a long to bring the wine and brought out the wrong bottle (same vintner, wrong wine). Went back to find the right bottle and came back with a different wrong bottle. It was a good 10 minutes in, so let it go and kept that one. The salad came out was okay. No real changes that I could tell. Portion sizing might have been smaller than pre-COVID, but it's hard to tell when you're splitting. The server brought out entrees while the salad was still on the table, and not close to being finished. The meat was overcooked (both portions well-done) and not even close to what was ordered. There wasn't a hint of pink in either of them. The Butter Cake was average. Less berry content than I remember. Weird dollops of whipped cream on the plate. Far too much of the raspberry syrup drizzled all over. The cake was broken up a bit and sort of messy looking. During the meal one of the floating floor staff who came by to refill water poured a decent bit of water on the table and basically laughed it off. It was an accident and nothing was damaged. It didn't need to happen and it was handled poorly. I won't be going back any time soon. I don't know if this location lost kitchen staff during the pandemic, if the server got the order wrong, or what happened with the pacing, but it wasn't a great experience. Food was fine. Service was weird. There are plenty of other places to get a good meal with better service."

this place is reccommended for special occations. the servers are great and the tritip is really good. i did not like the crab cakes at all. dont recommend them. i loved the sweet potato fries. big portions of food here. very pricy too.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at this restaurant and decided to order the prime rib. All three of us asked for it cooked medium, but unfortunately, they all came out well done. Two of them were sent back; one returned very rare while the other was cooked medium. We expect better from a steakhouse. On a positive note, our server Shannon did her best to rectify the situation. The best prime Rib ever! And the best rolls I have ever eaten. And was happily surprised by the delicious green beans with almond slivers which were so delicious I ate every one and they were just fabulous tasting and were succulent..i will definitely be coming back and cannot say enough how each thing was done perfectly! The waitress Alexis was awesome and made this the best Christmas Eve meal I believe I have ever had! No joke. Worth every cent.

Overall, the restaurant is fantastic, although it can be a bit loud due to the acoustics, which is manageable. We went there for dessert and ordered the brownie a la mode, which was absolutely delicious. We chose to sit in the bar area, which likely contributed to the noise level. However, our biggest issue was with our server. He seemed completely uninvolved in our experience. The manager, Cody, took our order, checked on us a couple of times, and was excellent.
