"I brought my fiancée here for her early birthday dinner. the main reason was the view, but they do not guarantee a seat at the window. we were happy enough to be able to sit on a window table next to the living pianist (which was great! . they have a wee menu, but if a cocktail or spirit was desired, a journey into the bar on the entrance or an order should be requested to their server. at the beginning we had some small evening dinner rolls that were at room temperature, butterballs, grilled garlic, and balsamico vinaigrette for fixations as well. shortly after the order we were presented with a Bleu cheese salad with Bleu cheese dressing. Unfortunately, neither my fiancée nor I really liked bleukäse. I wish they had asked. the Calamari Appetizer was good, just a marinara sauce. the steaks were also decent, portion sizes were good. she ordered the nativity that came with au jus and horseish dipping sauce and I ordered the bone. also want the dress code that seems to be strictly mentioned on their website, but at the arrival we saw a few individual at the bar area in jeans and T-shirts."

A new favorite in San Francisco! I visited to celebrate my mother's birthday and had an amazing experience. We made our reservations about a week in advance, and...

Great views great service. The steaks were slightly over-cooked— one ordered rare was a brownish-pink in the center—and the scallops were a bit fishy. But we loved the sides the general vibe. View menu

As a former Marine, I had to check this place out. It's a lovely restaurant with great views of the city. The piano player adds a nice touch with some wonderful music, which really enhances the ambiance.

During my visit to town with my 15-year-old son, I searched for a nice steakhouse and Leatherneck's came up in my results. Given that my father and grandfather were both Marines, I felt a special connection to this place and thought it would be a fitting choice.

The Leatherneck Lounge never disappoints and this time it was the most special ever. Everything was fabulous, every single item we ordered was the best it could be and made for a perfect surprise birthday celebration for our grandson. This is the best steakhouse ever! View menu

We were fortunate enough to secure a window table with a fantastic view of San Francisco. The service was a bit rushed for our liking, but I assume it was because we booked late and they were looking to close the kitchen. The steaks we ordered were of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. I recommend sharing the side dishes, as they were quite large. At $12 each, we found it hard to leave anything on our plates!

This restaurant is outstanding. Located at the top of the Marine's Memorial, it offers a clean and efficient atmosphere along with stunning views of San Francisco. It is definitely one of the best steakhouses in the city, and my wife and I believe their sole filet is the finest you can find anywhere. The wine list is reasonably priced, as are the hard liquors and food, which is unusual for San Francisco. The liquor pours are generous, too. It’s truly one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Reservations should be made through the restaurant or OpenTable.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
