"It was my first and only dip dish pizza and honestly I didn’t get it. Don’t know if I just got a “bad batch” or it all tase like this. But dough was tasteless, then it was a loot of cheese and tomato sauce… Nothing special, so spices, no basil.. it tasted very blend. That’s my experience. I ordered to go, my order was ready at assigned time, no problems with that. I was there Saturday evening, place was packed and many people were waiting for to go order. So keep that in mind, maybe come in earlier or order to go."

The deep pizza was not what I was expecting, service was not so polite like in other Chicago places and there was no wifi View menu

We had the Malnati sausage deep dish pizza, house salad and minestrone soup. It was delicious!! The soup was a little salty but still tasted good. The server was attentive and receptionist as well.

I have never tried Chicago-style pizza in Chicago. And I wanted to make that happen today. I ended up going to Lou's and having the personal pan, just made the original way, and I have zero complaints! I'm a Texas, I know food, I might not know pizza, but I know delicious! And this was delish!

As a New Yorker, I have too much pride to admit this but here we go legit pie here. Good flavor all around. Pic doesn't look the greatest but the flavor was soooooo good! I went with the Manalti Chicago classic. Good balance of sauce and cheese. The tomato sauce wasn't too acidic and the sausage in there was generous! View menu

Lou Malnati’s has been my favorite pizza place since I was a kid! I finally got the chance to go back to Chicago and eat there again and it was amazing. That pizza is the greatest! The staff was great and the atmosphere was good as well. I also tried their lasagna and it was great as well. I wish I had a Lou Malnati’s near me I would eat there all the time.

We only got the chance to eat pizza once in the city — and the pizza here was excellent but the service was terrible, restaurant was not clean, and atmosphere dated and run down. We would either go to another location or a different restaurant altogether next time. Of all our meals on our trip to Chicago, this was the only disappointing one — a shame considering the price of pizza.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
