"After having a very sad cocktail at Maguire’s, mind youit was 1 cocktail on my first trip to Fire Island, I was handed my bill. I paid my bill and chose no tip and I noticed my waitress caught an attitude. My waitress then proceeded to say “you can leave your cash tip on the table” but since I had 1 sad drink, I chose not to. As I was getting ready to leave, the waitress approached me and asked “why didn’t you tip?”. I was taken aback at the fact I was even asked to provide a tip when it’s customer’s preference. Do better. Pay your staff so they aren’t relying solely on tip to the point they have to ask customers for tips."

We tried the lobster roll but were disappointed with the stale bread and sad, chewy lobster. We would not eat here again. The service was average. We dined in for dinner and spent between $50-100 per person. The atmosphere was pleasant with a rating of 5.
