"Came here for an early dinner and it was pretty disappointing all around. They advertise themselves as having wood fired pizza pasta, but when I asked if there is pizza the waitress responded with something like, “the oven is broken”? But there was no pizza on the menu at all…so yeah, doesn’t make sense. Complimentary bread is served cold. When asked if we can warm it up, the waitress said “well we make it in big batches so….no we can’t do that”. Oil balsamic dip for the bread comes with 99.9% oil which didn’t even look like quality olive oil, and 0.1% balsamic. Pasta was just okay. I got the alla vodka and honestly the chicken pieces had no sear on it at all, so the texture wasn’t great. Caesar salad was way too lemony. Don’t give enough crispy bread with the burrata."

This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. This is really the best Italian food I have had.

We’ve been there a couple times and the food was always amazing. Best Italian that we’ve found.

Good Italian restaurant, tasty pasta and good atmosphere. Unfortunate they are not serving any pizza at this time, hopefully they bring it back soon!

We went there for lunch. We ordered bunch of food but I was excited to get salmon tartare and bruschetta. Well, I expected more . Nice atmosphere, great staff. Also, they are not serving pizza anymore View menu

Mio Nonno's provides quality, Italian cuisine with the best lasagna in Allen, TX, a full bar with favorites, and a variety of mixed drinks. The service was considerate and timely, and the atmosphere was charming and clean. Great for family gatherings and dates!

Cool dark-wood bar/bistro atmosphere with exposed brick and tasteful reproduction-antique decor. Interesting cocktail menu; my wife (a connoisseur) recommends The Grenadier while stating that the infused martinis are pretty looking but low in alcohol and, she suspects, artificially flavored.

The service was absolutely awful. I ordered the risotto which came with salmon and shrimp. The shrimp was rubbery and the salmon was dry. I called the waiter over and let him know and asked for the meal to be redone. The manager came over and let me know it would take long to cook salmon and shrimp. So I let her know it was ok and would just not eat. It's such a shame the manager was not able to gracefully diffuse the situation. I will not be back. View menu

This restaurant is my favorite Italian spot. The food is sooooo delicious. Now I won’t lie the portions are a bit scarce. Especially for Italian food, you expect hardy portions. Well you are not going to get that! . However everything is so flavorful! The lasagna and lobster ravioli have me in a chokehold. I only do pickup so not sure on the service but I will say that the bar dressings looks top tier with fresh garnishings of sliced lemon, dried blood oranges, green apples, etc. I couldn’t even take a star off for the small portions because the taste definitely makes up for it

Oh how the mighty can fall. When we lived in Plano this was our favorite Italian food place. We brought everyone here it was a show stopper. We ventured out 4 years later to find it’s just the shell of the old place.First it’s basically a gas station restaurant now, the parking lot is full of Tesla chargers and there are people just hanging out charging. Leaving their trash piled high, it’s a mess, so bad they needed a sign in the window for the restrooms. Then the servers are all teenagers and not all that committed to service, the calamari was rubbery and chewy. The shrimp was so over cooked you needed a steak knife to cut it and the pasta was meh.To top it off the drinks were the weakest m...

"On our last night visiting our kids (we live in Michigan-they live in Texas), we chose lazy dog. There was no waiting, we were seated right away. I was truly impressed with the interior decor. The birch looking trees by the concierge lent an air of nature. The metal dog sculptures were pretty awesome. I loved the beams in the high ceiling, very cool and I am inspired to create something similar in my own home. The fireplace wall was awesome, huge and the deer head mounted on it was unique and fitting. The restaurant was clean and spacious, easy to see from the road. Our waitress was Margaret and she was very friendly, knowledgeable seemed happy to be there. She brought our drinks right away. My son enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut. He raved about how good it was. The rest of us were slightly disappointed. IMO, the lazy dog takes the usual menu offerings but puts their on twist on it. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just didn’t meet our expectations. The queso was orange cheese with a different flavor-not bad, but not what we were expecting either. My daughter got the fried chicken meal. The seasoning in the breading was, different, unusual. Four of us tried it, the only one that really enjoyed it was my son. I got the pot roast beef dip. That was good and tasty. Both I and my daughter enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings didn’t have much taste and I found them unremarkable. Hubbs got the cheeseburger which he liked and my acquired daughter got the all American burger which she liked. The portions of food were generous, but I felt the prices were high. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but it is not going on my “must return” or favorite lists."
