"We tried going here for our anniversary as an opportunity to try a new place and thought the description sounded nice on Open Table. After taking awhile to find the restaurant (as noted in the description it is in the club house not the resort, and even in the club house it is not well marked) we got there to find it completely empty at 7pm. Not just of diners, but also staff. We walked around the restaurant a bit. Note that it really is more of the club bar then a restaurant, just a partial wall divide the two. Not seeing any waiters, hosts, or anyone we left to go eat elsewhere."

It was simply awful. Our server was great and he did his best but the food was terrible.

Friends birthday service was very slow and inadequate to accommodate 5 at lunch on a Wednesday

The sea bass was overcooked, and the desserts were somewhat uninspiring. However, the steaks and sides were fantastic. The wine selection offered good value. The ambiance was delightful, with plenty of open space both indoors and outdoors. View menu

This could be good for a family, a couple, or as we saw a few tables away, a girl's night out. The menu is versatile, with lighter and heavier dishes as well. Reasonably priced and amazing desserts. Very well priced wine list. The service was nice and the carpeted floors helped to silence any extra noise.

The food was excellent, and the views were remarkable. However, the service left something to be desired. Despite the restaurant only having three tables, we had to wait a long time for our items. One of our desserts arrived without a fork or spoon, and we had to flag down a waiter or manager to get utensils. Overall, it was a good experience, but the service needs improvement.

The setting is great. Sat on patio which has a beautiful view all the way to the Potomac. The service was horribly slow. We were the only people in the entire restaurant (table of 8) and it took 10 minutes to get water. Then another 10+ before they came back to take our order. The meatloaf was so overdone it was like eating a brick. The menu was too Applebee's-ish to be reservation worthy and located on a resort. View menu

Our dining experience was far from satisfactory. We ordered appetizers, soup, and entrees, but to our surprise, all three courses arrived at once. The food was only mediocre at best. Additionally, there seemed to be a lack of leadership among the staff. We ended up waiting a long time for our bill, which never arrived, so we had to get up and go to the exit area to find someone to assist us. Overall, it was very disappointing, and we do not plan to return.

My wife and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary at Landsdowne Resort this past weekend. We had an amazing dinner at the Crooked Billet. First, the atmosphere and view are so cozy and romantic with views of the golf course, warm decor, and a beautiful fireplace. Secondly, the food was out of this world! Everything was filled with flavor and expertly prepared! We had Kirby as our waiter. He was outstanding! Overall, we had one of the best meals in our lives as can't wait to come back!

"We were two couples with a 7pm reservation and arrived early and were at 6:45. Order our drinks, and followed by appetizers. Then ordered our meals at about 7:20. I asked for the Salmon and asked to change my sides to Brussel Sprouts and creamed Spinach. After a long while our meal had not arrived. The Waitress apologized and said our meals would be out soon. When they finally delivered my Salmon, it was the size of slice of corn bread, on a single plate of Brussel were peeled to only the inner core so they were small and just white in color, not the green Brussel Sprouts, the Cream of Spinach arrived even later, and of course in a separate dish. My wife had the Scallops, 3 Scallops on her plate and three Brussel Sprouts for $48 dollars. My Salmon was $36. When the manager came by to check on us, I told him that the Salmon was extremely small. He tried to make amends by offering a free dessert. I had not planned for dessert. I did say I would take more Salmon, but none was forthcoming. I felt badly for our waitress as I think she was embarrassed by what was going on in the Kitchen. I initially thought perhaps the kitchen was showing a childish version of retribution for having the audacity of changing my sides to Brussel selections from what was on the menu. Yet, my wife’s portions were also exceedingly small for her scallops. So not are the Prices High, the quantity of what you get for your meal is very meager. This was our 4th time eating here and we were Fans. The Salmon tasted good, but we will never go back to The Conche. I have far better options to suffer through poor kitchen Service and exceedingly long wait for Food. The Manager did comp our dessert, but should have comped our friends as well, as they too had a very long wait on their food. The wait staff was polite and professional.
