"we got there just at closing time on Dec 9th. The hostess told us to come on in and take our time. The young waitress came over and asked how we were and if we were ready for a drink order and did we have any questions about the menu. She answered our questions and apologized for a couple of items not being available. the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. There were four tables one was a party of 11 or 12 between the waitress and the hostess everyone was given awesome service."

The highlight of the restaurant was the food, which was hot and fresh. However, I was not a fan of the fact that my friend and I both ordered the same bread item, and it was served together in a basket. Thankfully, the waitress quickly corrected this and brought me fresh toast.

eating is great and everything, but the prices are open. for example, I and the woman cost $35, which were only for beef tips and chicken pliers. even at $10 a teller that drinks must have been $5.50 per the rest has been tax. shouldn't a teller come with the drink? The staff was awesome. My family and I, were a large group much more than they typically expected, came in and were shuffle for a minute trying to get seating arranged so we could all sit with each other. The drinks were taken and delivered extremely quick. Looked over the menu ordered and within 7 minutes were already eating. 2 thumbs way up

Our family was passing through Sparta today and stopped at the Pines Resturant. The food was wonderful and our server was one of the best we have ever had. I think her name was Chelsey (slim w/long red hair). She was very busy with other tables and still made sure to check on us every little bit. We really enjoyed our visit.
