"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

This was our second visit to Saltwater Grill. The food was delicious and the service unmatched. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Galveston.

The food was tasty. The waiter was a little less than average as far as skill set. I didn't care for how they ran out of bread. It was very noisy in the section that we were sat in. But all in all it was not a bad experience just didn't knock my socks off.

Food was good, menu changed alot. As locals we get used to items, and several favs are no longer available. Iceberg wedge, lobster risotto, both gone????. It was unusually warm in there also. Service was terrific, just warm and menu changes are big disappointments. View menu

We sat at the bar and attempted to get some service. After waiting for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged, we decided to leave. It was a strange and disappointing experience of feeling ignored. We were looking forward to enjoying some seafood, but unfortunately were unable to do so.

The experience here was less than satisfying. The waitress made sure to rattle off all of the prices for everything that she described. It was only noticeable because she didn't do it at any other table she served near us. Since we were the only people of color in the restaurant, I can only assume it was an issue for her. I then had another server adjust an A/C unit above me without say pardon me or excuse me. The unit then began to drip on my wife and I. We requested to be moved and were eventually. This was our 24th wedding anniversary and dinner was a bust.
