"service was a star. eat two stars. we arrived at 6:30 am for our reservation. we had an 8 pm show at the pantages next door. we got water pretty fast, but it took 25 minutes until our server showed up and asked if we wanted to drink. this was triggered only after I asked the hostess where our server was. 4 other couples that are left within minutes of us all before the server arrived. as soon as we have ordered, our appetizers and the main course came together within minutes. then we had to follow our server physically to get coffee and check (btw- they a 20% tip to our bill for a party of two? my man had to ask three separate paintings for the creamer as soon as the coffee arrived. to the conclusion I fought between one and two, but the audacity to add a 20% tip for such a bad service to our review was ridiculous."

Limited menu and wine list but overall it was an amazing dining experience. Would recommend to all that have an event to attend up town.

The food was absolutely dreadful and way overpriced for what we received. We ended up leaving to go eat at a different Italian restaurant. We will never go back.

the food was in the average. the chicken parmesan was not a chef cooked or prepared fresh meal. best was a frozen and hard pressed food patty, very thin. the best part of the meal was the sauce, the salate and my firma.

eating is really excellent, which is surprising because the place does not feel completely open and there is no ambiente and the furniture is cheap look. I hope they find out. in any case it is worth going for the food! View menu

Out of Coffee and gnocchi on Saturday night. Since menu was limited overall anyway this was not a good sign. All food items heavy on salt levels except the pizza which was good. They still have some start up challenges.

with a single server on valentinstag. no floor manager in service, professional/unexperienced staff. eating has potential, fresh pasta but swimming in oil under a heat lamp, decent apps and pizza. Hoping management will invest and realize this potential!

The service here was terrible. When we arrived there was a really nice man that greeted us and walked us to our table; it went downhill from there. We waited 10-15 minutes to be greeted by our waiter. It was 30 minutes and my water glass was still empty. My husband ordered wine and that took 15 mins to arrive at the table. The food arrived and it was meh. I will not go back. View menu

Came at 8:30 for a reservation during their soft opening, they said they had done their last seating and didn’t have our reservation. After telling them we had made one on OpenTable they went ahead and seated us. Glad they did. The food we had was awesome and so was the wine. Everything we had we enjoyed and the server took great care of us. Recommend that you give this place a try!

Fettucini, Bucatini and gnocchi were awful. Absolutey no flavor in the alfredo sauce. The pasta undercooked. The gnocchi flavorless and undercooked. It took over 20 minutes for the server to come to our table. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. We had to constantly wave our server over to get anything She did not come by occasionally to check on us. The only redeeming thing was the focaccia bread and aracini.

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
