"My wife and decided to break the monotony of the hustle and bustle of the day and switch up and not run to our regular spot to indulge.. So you know what came next, Yelp ?, who fit our style.. Based on the recommendation from Yelp we found CD Cafe.. Now funny thing is we 've road past this place several times on travel through Solomon 's Island.. But this time we were intentional and actually stopped in to check it out.. I must say, we were greeted with. smile and sincere welcome and were allowed to choose which table for 2 best suited us.. The environment is definitely conducive for couples and reconnecting.. Now we didn 't go- in normally like we do in past with how much food order on our first experience at place. This time we literally were just stopping through to grab something quick before dinner.. So we did use some restraint .. Ok, Finally, the food; we had Crab Cake Sandwich with Stir Fry, Scallops dish with bread and tomatoes and some special sauce and Cajun Chicken Salad with a side of Fries.. Well, the Crab Sandwich and Fries were the top for us.. We actually ordered one to go as we dine.. Bottomline, definitely worth you dropping in and experiencing it for yourself.."

This restaurant features an actual chef, and his food is truly outstanding! It deserves to be listed among the Michelin-starred restaurants in Washington D.C., not down here! His creativity shines through, and he showcases a new menu each week. All the other restaurants on Solomons Island simply cannot compare.

On Tuesday evenings when Ben Connelly performs, the locals flock to this restaurant, so it's best to arrive early to secure a seat. The food is excellent, and the menu changes weekly. The walls are adorned with stunning artwork. The waitress remembers your drink order and promptly brings it to you. Very European vibe. Small venu with great food and wine. Bar Next Door with same menu but more bar centric. Great menu, not overdone or over saucy Salmon was superb. Scallops appetizer was terrific. What can I say? I'm so glad we returned to CD Cafe on Solomons Island. It was wonderful to see Kara, her dad, and her fiancé Austin before the upcoming changes at the start of the year. My mother, aunt Gloria, and I enjoyed a delightful few hours wined and dined, savoring some of our favorite dishes as well as trying a few new items. The two-for-$22 menu is a must-try, and that was one of the new options we sampled. With fantastic food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere, CD Cafe is truly a great spot for a wonderful meal. Some of our favorites include the Black Bean Soup, Curry Chicken Salad, and Pad Thai. I would definitely give it a 5+ star rating!

How things have changed and not for the better. It's been about 3 years since we were there last. First things first, the service was very nice. Pleasant and friendly. Secondly, the meal, not so much. Steak Au Poivre is NOT served as a half-inch thick over done strip steak smothered with some sort of mushroom sauce ever. It is a Filet with a Cognac cream sauce with a heavy accent of black pepper. Don't take shortcuts with such an elegant dish. The filter on the menu was only 2 dollars more, so why not use the steak it was designed for? The chicken pasta and veggies dish was also very unappealing.
