"We were traveling from Ft Worth to Houston and wanted a good home style breakfast. We stopped at another place only to find out they didn't offer breakfast. We drove a few more miles into downtown, a bit off our course, but the old town square is just charming! The diner was just as it was in the photos adorning the walls. It has a very old school malt shop feel that is just a great add on to it's charm. The staff were friendly and we were even able to get breakfast despite it being 15 after the cut off time. We both had scrambled eggs, country potatoes, thick cut with sliced onions, and two thick slices of smoked bacon with wheat toast. The eggs were delicious and perfectly cooked. The potatoes were perfection. The bacon was crisped just right. The toast was a great addition. Our coffee stayed topped off and the service was impeccable! We have found a new place to stop when we are in the area!! Much love from your friends in Ft. Worth!!"

The servers here are wonderful! We came from out of town to meet with friends and made a 6 person reservation for Saturday brunch. The place was packed, but Deena went above and beyond to ensure we got a table in time. The food is great. It's a charming little small town diner that's apparently super popular on the weekends. I'm so glad we got to visit and catch up with old friends.

This is the best meal I have had in a while. Their lunch special was meatloaf but I was hungry for chicken fried steak. It was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender inside. Pipping hot gravy, fresh green beans- not canned, perfect mashed potatoes. Even the toast was perfectly toasted. I don?t usually finish an entire plate and I?ll ask for a to go box. Not this time. I couldn?t stop eating and I?m still stuffed. Quick friendly service too!

This little diner in Corsicana, TX is so cute and has nice people, great prices, huge selection of food, and clean bathrooms! These salads we ordered were phenomenal! And huge. So much freshness. This was our second visit as we live hours away, but we drive between Dallas and College Station (kid at TAMU). It's definitely worth a little detour off of the highway. I prefer to support local businesses and not subject myself to fast food so often. We will continue to eat here on our trips. View menu

My family needed to meet up to send my girls on for a summer visit. We purposely chose Corsicana because we found Across The Street Diner for our breakfast option! I reserved a table the night before. We showed 20 minutes early and were sat immediately! They were so friendly! I had Emily. She was knowledgeable of the menu asking all the write questions. We loved the whole mom and pop meets soda shop vibe! ???? 100% recommend the chicken and waffles! The Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict too! I had the Monte Cristo. Everything was delicious and affordable!

This place is amazing!!! This was my first time here, and it was a great experience. I did visit like 20 minutes before lunch started, but they were so kind to allow me to order a salad. I ordered the Greek salad and a sweet tea. This salad looked like the chef placed one item at a time on this dish. It looked so professional. The blend of dressing was just right, and the chicken was tender. To include the staff were all very hospitable and my waitress Hailey was the best. She checked on me a few times, which was just perfect and has the kindest personality. The music was on point, my kinda music. This place is so extravagant inside and out. I will be returning for breakfast and lunch to try...
