"During our stay for the Rock N' Roll Half Marathon, we were on the lookout for a carb-heavy Italian restaurant to help us prepare for the big 13-mile race the following evening. Initially, we planned to treat ourselves to one of the upscale Italian restaurants at The Venetian or Bellagio. However, after noticing Don Vito's multiple times while at our hotel, South Point, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant looked inviting and was conveniently located just downstairs from our room. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the attentive service, and the lovely atmosphere of this hidden Italian gem."

This is my first time in Las Vegas, and naturally, it's also my first time at Don Vito's. One of the key dishes I use to evaluate an Italian restaurant...

This restaurant has a touch of elegance. There are several upscale spots in South Point, and Don Vito's is definitely among them. We had to wait for an hour, but it was worth it. View menu

I had a fantastic dining experience! The booth was very comfortable, and our waiter was excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Don Vitto—we absolutely loved it!

Delicious food and really good ambiance! Our waiter was outstanding and very attentive to all our needs during our dinner. Baked ziti and minestrone soup was to die for. Vast options for wine as well!

This restaurant was fantastic! I made a reservation but still had to wait longer. Even though I arrived early, we waited nearly 20 more minutes. The appetizers were delicious, especially the calamari! I wanted to order a wedge salad, but they wouldn’t make any exceptions. For a total bill of $250, I thought a blue cheese wedge wasn’t too much to ask for. Plus, we didn’t even order any alcohol with that check. View menu

This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. The service was outstanding. I ordered the ribeye steak dinner, and it was simply amazing—so juicy! It came with a loaded baked potato, and when I asked my server, Chris, if it included bacon and cheese, he told me no, but he would check to see what he could do. He went to another steakhouse restaurant and brought back bacon and cheese for my potato. Now that's what I call going above and beyond! I will definitely be returning.

Absolutely fantastic! Don Vito's is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in town, and the prices are very reasonable! Even with their recent menu price increase, it's still affordable. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. Our server, Tracy, is incredibly professional, gracious, and welcoming! We always enjoy our visits with her. However, we have encountered some servers who were rude and unprofessional, once even accusing us of not being hotel guests and demanding to see our IDs. Now we always make sure to request Tracy when we go back.

"I absolutely loved my food! I've seen this restaurant many times as it is in the same shopping center as my normal Smiths grocery story. It's tucked away and looks small from the outside, but inside was quite spacious and we were very happy with our meal! We made a reservation for 6 people on a Saturday at 5 pm for my sister's birthday dinner. It didn't seem too busy when we went in. Anytime it's my whole family like that I get a little worried about how servers will handle us because my grandma and mom can be a hoot sometimes (in other words, they can be a lot lol). I can't remember our server's name, but he was great and very nice! Our busser was also so helpful! He brought our drinks, brought our bread, answered questions, really nice guy. The restaurant ambiance was nice, almost intimate. It's really dark in there, though. My mom had to turn the flashlight on her phone to see the menu lol The interior is decorated with large western posters, hence the name of the restaurant. Service was very friendly and very fast! The food was great! You get bread with oil and vinegar at the table. The bread was so warm and soft, and it was interesting having the oil and vinegar separate rather than mixed together. We started with the bruschetta, which was four pieces that were big enough to cut in half for everyone to enjoy. It was piled high with bruschetta and was really tangy and super tasty! We all got different things, but I'm going to focus on the foods that I tried. My husband ordered the cajun pasta, which was a special for the night. It had really large shrimp and a very nice flavor. I was debating between the carbonara and the bobbi, so my sister got the carbonara. I tried hers, and I will definitely be getting it next time! I feel like carbonara can be hit or miss with flavor, and this one was great. Nice and creamy, and the portion was quite big. I got the bobbi with penne and it was sooooo good! It was a vodka sauce with specked prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the prosciutto was cooked! I like prosciutto normally, but cooking it gave it a really smoky taste without it being limp. I absolutely loved it! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Most of us spent under $20 for our large portions (pasta and pizza). The special my husband got and the chicken dish my brother in law got were between $20 and $30. Overall, I thought it was a nice place with really yummy food in large portions! Anxiety induced questions I had before arriving that may help you: 1. How fancy is this place? You can definitely wear whatever. Because it said fine italian dining, I was worried we would have to dress up. After looking at some review photos of the inside, I could see everyone was really casual. As far as price, I think it's very reasonable for the portions you are getting. 2. Should I make a reservation? For large parties, yes. If it's just a handful of you, then you should be fine. The place wasn't packed or anything when we went at 5pm on a Saturday. 3. Can I look at the menu ahead of time? Food and normal drinks menu, yes. They do have a cocktail menu that is not available online, so if you are the type that needs ample time to look before making a decision, cocktails and alcohol are the only things not mentioned online. 4. Will they split checks? We only needed ours split 2 ways, but they do split checks. Just don't make it anything crazy or complicated, and they will be very nice about it."
