"This restaurant lives up to all the great things other reviewers have said about it. Tucked away in a modest location, it truly is a hidden gem that offers fantastic food and outstanding service. I ordered the duck pappardelle, and it was superb—plus, the portion was generous enough that I enjoyed the leftovers the next day. As for the special appetizer, they had cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto, which was simple yet delightful. The wine selection was impressive, and I savored a wonderful red blend. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, and her recommendations were spot-on. Don't let the strip mall setting deter you; this is top-notch Italian cuisine, especially impressive since they opened just before COVID and managed to thrive! I highly recommend visiting Eugenio's!"

A small dining area so reservations are a must. Excellent selection of menu items. All prepared to order. My Lasagna al Ragu Bolognese with house made pasta was just like grandma made. A fine selection of appetizers and wines to accompany our meal made the evening enjoyable.

So easy to forget about this wonderful, cozy gem until a savory memory floats me back to their table….. The melt-in-your-mouth garlic bread, the mushroom soup, the beet salad. And best yet, when feeling naughty, the decadent pastas are to die for, and uniquely worthy of their caloric debauchery.Got carried away with food thoughts and almost forgot to mention the absolutely stellar staff. Delicious food, great service, in a small location (reservations recommended). A must try. Tried this place about 3 weeks ago via takeout as I was looking for Italian seafood in San Marcos. The Linguine Pescatore was amazing and somehow the leftovers were even better the next day. Loved it so much that I made reservations for 6 and brought friends. Everyone had a great time and everyone loved the food. Service is on point. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

Party of 6 enjoyed the meal. Shared appetizer of sashimi salmon with some veggies. Outstanding. I had wild boar which wasn't as flavorful as I expected, but still good. Wife had combo chicken parm and eggplant parm which came as huge portion and was good, not great. Others in our party had short ribs, chicken marsalla, chicken picatta and fish special (salmon, halibut and seabass). Tiramisu and canolli for dessert. I love coming here with my boyfriend. He has traveled to Italy a few times, and he says that Eugenio is somehow even better. I love their mushroom risotto as well their mushroom fettuccine. It’s unlike any other mushroom dish I’ve ever had. We get carried away and order too much because we just want to taste everything. The staff tries to reign us and makes excellent recommendations. They even remember their customers! It’s very sweet. I recommend making a reservation as they’re usually booked up.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite there being no customers seated at most tables—six in total—we were not allowed to sit down, as one group was occupying the area. It’s frustrating to drive there, especially when they first open, only to find that they won’t accommodate walk-ins, even when there are plenty of empty tables. To make matters worse, the waitress was quite rude. She mentioned that some of the tables would remain empty for over an hour! It’s unreasonable not to keep at least one table available for walk-in customers, especially when reserved tables are not being used. Clearly, they don't seem to understand how to properly manage a restaurant.
